but i had the problem before the disk wouldnt come out but i fixed it by holding down the eject for 20 secounds and the Call of Duty came out. Anyway now when i go to put in a game it ejects it right when i put it in??
I bought a PS3 yesterday and had to take it back - when entering a disk it would get pulled in and start to spin but would only go in still leaving about a half inch sticking out - it would spin for about 15 seconds and then stop. I had to take it back and get a replacement which worked fine.

There are a few things you can try, first is get a dvd lens cleaner, the type with brushes, and preferably the full dvd size. The PS3 will accept micro cd's but I wouldn't risk it. Run the cleaner through, they usually have a 10 min. or so track list and eject. The try the last disc that worked in your system. If the same message occurs, a can of compressed air may do the trick, be careful though, to only spray on an angle, nozzle facing the right of your system, to prevent any more dust or debris from getting to your cpu. If this doesn't work either, your blu ray drive has become worn out and will need to be replaced. Sony will do this for a $120-150 charge, regardless if it's in warranty or not. This repair can be done by yourself, with a replacement drive, but the risk may be too great.
Hello The noise is actually a product of dust from a blue ray disc.Over time these discs heat up and leave a residue on the blue ray lens. Try using a lens cleaner to remove dirt and clean lens. Also i read an article that using a wireless controler can also cause freezing of the blue ray.
Well your disc drive is out of alignment kind of a hard subject to explain so please dont rate me low. Its more then likely the top of your disc drive is not aligned with the bottom of the disc drive you need them to be aligned so it will take discs in and out. Theres gears on the bottom of the cd drives lid. They meet with gears on the top of the bottom part and if they arent aligned they will not accept disc right. Take it apart and with the cd drive lid pulled up hit eject. This will bring the bottom part of the drive into place. Then just easily lay the top part back down and it needs to be directly from the top not side ways. Then when you have your ps3 cd drive lid on you can try to see if it accepts discs right. If it does your good to go if not you need to mess with it a little more. If you need more help explaining just ask I will try to find you a video showing how to do it.
Hi, best thing to do to eject disk is
1.power of the console
2. hold the eject button and the power button down at the same time
3. then reach around to the back of the console and put the switich on
4. hold for ten seconds and thhe disk should come out
its called the red light of death in order to eject the disk you have to 1.power off the console
2.Press the eject button and the power button while turning the switich back on on the back of the ps3
3.wait a few seconds and the disk should come right out
The only thing to do is get it checked. If you got yours a while after it came out you have a bad lazer. (thing that reads discs) you have 2 get it fixed. Play n trade is who i reccomend. google them. PS: my gamertag is NEROROTT I have all call of duties + a few others like borderlands
turn the main switch off on the back of the unit then place you finger in the eject switch now turn the main power switch on the back of the unit with out removing your finger the unit will power on now just keep your finger there for a few seconds until the blue light start blinking now take your finger off if there is a disk it will come out if the bluray drive needs to be reset it will reset by doing this
I was having the same problem... I don't know if this will help you or not, but I attempted to put in a second disc (obviously it wouldn't accept it and I did NOT let the 2nd disc fall all the way in)...
After removing the 2nd disc and then powering it on and then off again, I heard something "catch" and then when I pressed the eject button, it ejected the 1st disc...
