If you get a busy signal when you pick up your second phone to participate in a call in progress, make sure privacy mode is set to off. Enter the menu, then scroll to initial setting, then scroll to privacy mode, set to off, then click save. You can also go directly there by entering menu, then #194, set privacy mode to off, and save. Make sure to do this on all handsets connected to the line.

SOURCE: panasonic KX-TG1855AL envelope and speech bubble symbol

Hi, you probably won't get this anymore, but here is the fix (I had the same problem and couldn't get rid of it. Had no messages or calls that I hadn't viewed). You will laugh but press the Clear / Mute button for a few seconds. That is the bottom right button out of the four that are around the big round one. It has a C on it, a line under the C and the mute symbol underneath... Good Luck. Julia

How do I change message on panasonic KX-TGA652 cordless phone

To change the answering machine greeting message, make sure that the phone is in standby mode. Press Menu on the handset, then navigate to Answering Device with the Up/Down arrows. Press Select and then navigate to Greeting. Press Select again and highlight Record Message. Press Select and then confirm this by selecting Yes and pressing Select once more. Hold the handset about 20 cm (7.5") away from your mouth and speak the new greeting clearly. Press Stop when done and then press Off.

Alternatively, you can press # 3 0 2 after pressing Menu. Then highlight Yes and press Select. This is given in the manual for the phone. Panasonic has the manual here: http://panasonic.ae/en/manuals/KX-TG6541.pdf . See page 32.

Note: this greeting will only play if the answering system is on and you have the system respond before any telephone provider Voicemail system answers the call.

I hope this helps.

How do I retrieve messages on the Panasonic KX-T7030 phone?

  • Call into your mailbox (usually by dialing intercom 165)
  • Press 4, and 4 again (for "Incomplete call handling")
By default, three options are enabled:
    option #1: leave a message
    options #5: call the operator
option #6: return to top menu
  • Follow the audible prompts to disable options 5 and 6

Here are some other features you may need

  • Make sure your Auto Answer button is lit up, so you can receive intercom announcements, and respond hands-free.
  • Use the Call Forwarding (FWD) to send un-answered calls to another phone or to voicemail
  • Press BGM (or 1 on the touch-tone pad) for background music, if your system is equipped.
  • Use Absent Messages to show text messages on other people's phones when you are away.
  • Use System Call Waiting so your phone will ring even when you're on the phone. Press Intercom and dial 7311 to set it up, or 7310 to cancel.
  • Use Do Not Disturb (DND) when you don't want to receive calls. Press Intercom, press FWD/DND and dial 1 to activate, or 0 to cancel.
  • Press MESSAGE when you call a busy intercom number. This will turn on the MESSAGE light on the other phone, and the other person can tap that button to automatically call you back.
  • If you get a busy signal when you call an intercom number, you can signal the other person by dialing 1 (if that phone is programmed for System Call Waiting (above).
  • Dial 330 to make an announcement to all phones.
  • If you want your phone to automatically select an outside line when you pick up the handset, press PROGRAM, dial 99, dial 12, press STORE, press PROGRAM
