SOURCE: cda 9886 installed and says interrupt

verify all your wires are correct. if anything, just plug the ignition power(red) constant power(yellow) and ground(negative) and turn it on and see if it still says interrupt. If it does try to see if it has a reset button and try that. If not, try connectiong the rca's one at a time and see if it gives you the same problem with the rca's, wich would indicate a short with the rca's. If it works ok after connecting the rca's, then go to your individual speaker wires and see if you have a short with one of your speakers. Hopefully it's not the head unit itself.

SOURCE: i need a wire harness for Alpine CDA-9831R CD/MP3

Any decent car audio store should be able to sell you one. Most Alpine wire harnesses from that year should work with it.

How to reset interrupter lockout

Disconnect battery for the night. REMEMBER your stereo if it has an anti theft one on it will ask for your password. Most cars have that locate it on the glove compratment, look for it before you disconnect the battery otherwise you will have another problem.

By disconnecting your battery you ECU will reset it self.

My cd in my van kips saeig sefe

I take it you mean the cd player display is indicating "SAFE". This usually happens if the battery is disconnected to eather service something electrical on the vehicle or if the battery is being replaced. It's a burglar proof feature built into the player which is supposed to prevent thieves from reselling a stereo unit after stealing it by going into safe mode when it's power is interrupted thereby making the cd unit unable to be resold as it will not work. But it may be reset and placed back into serviceable mode by taking it to your dealership. They can reset the safe feature for you. Just ask them disable the feature in the player so it will not go back into "safe" if you have the battery disconnected again, but remember it will not be burglar proof anymore. Otherwise, to prevent it from going back into "safe" mode if you need to disconnect the power, then I suggest you get yourself a memory saver unit and attach the 9 volt battery and plug it into your cigarette lighter plug or the 12 volt power source on your dash before you disconnect the battery. That way, the power will not be interrupted to again set the "safe" back on.

Good Luck.

I hav a alpine cda-w925ehi head unit an it just stopped an now says "interrupt"

Hi I believe you have an Australia model? Alpine's use what's know as an interrupt wire to hook into vehicles/phones to interrupt the audio of the deck when their is a signal sent to it. On the Alpine harness you need to search for the Pink/black striped wire which is the audio interrupt wire. Make sure that wire is insulated and not grounding out against anything or hooked up incorrectly.

I have no harness for vehical was told the reason I have no sound is becuase the pink and black wire labeled Audio interrupt lead were does this connect 2

The install diagram indicates the Audio Interrupt wire goes to a Vehicle Phone. If you don't have one, don;t connect it to anything andmake sure you put tape over the end so it doesn't touch ground or a power source.

In cases where I don't have or cannot get a wiring harness adapter to plug directly into my vehicle wiring harness I have a trick I like to use. I don't like to cut and remove a vehicle harness socket, I may want to keep the aftermarket stereo when I sell or trade and put the original stereo back in place. Instead of removing the socket I skin back (but do not cut) the wires I need to tap into and wrap the aftermarket unit's wires around the now exposed socket wiring, then solder each one & wrap each one individually with electrical tape. This gives you a secure connection and when and if you need to permanently remove the aftermarket unit you just untape the wires, clip the fatermarket wires off one at a time very close to where they are tapped in, tape each one of them again and there you have the factory plug ready to plug back into the factory stereo.

Error Code H2

H2 means the thermistor is open or defective.

Try to press the copy button when h2 appears you'll see the sub 00. You dont need to replace the whole fuser unit. Try first to cancel the trouble by entering the simulation.

Try to press the # - interrupt- C- interrupt (one after the other.) then enter 14 then copy button. If it doesnt work replace the thermistor.

The last part that you'll replace is the main board but that rare. Mostly the thermistor is defective when that trouble appears. Hope it could help you a lot.

Auxilary RCA inputs have no volume control

Your problem stems from the fact that the CDA-7892 is not equipped with an RCA aux-input jack. If you're plugged into RCA connectors at the back of the head unit, they're outputs, not inputs. The sound you hear is just feeding back through the outputs and into the head unit's amplifier. If you want to play your iPod through this head unit, you need to purchase either the auxiliary input adapter (KCA-121B) or iPod adapter (KCA-420i).
