Re: Amplifier

3/2 is still 5.1, it just shows the number of speakers in front and back. 3 in front (left center right), and 2 in back (left and right). which makes it 3/2

Re: Amplifier

What output is your decoder? Just because a service is touted as 5.1 doesn't mean that your system is set for it...accordianman

How do I connect this system together to get it to work?

The manual for the amplifier and all the other units are here. Use the search feature in the top right with just the model number 'AT-5210'. Getting the items in the right order helps. The turntable obviously goes on top. The Amplifier goes in the middle and all the other units connect to the amp.

Hi, I have a KRF-4060D receiver and my problem is, that however the receiver is set to auto detecting, when I start a dts movie, the receiver does not recognize it as a a dts signal. could you please...

What DOES it detect instead - analog or Dolby Digital? If the former, the digital bitstream is not being seen at all - check the digital audio-bearing cabling.

If the latter ---

As dangerously loud undecoded digital bitstream [hash] "noise will be produced when a DTS source is played by selecting the analog input", the DTS soundtrack is not necessarily the default for a movie soundtrack and may need to be manually selected under the movie's own Audio Setup menus.

The dts surround sound is not working. No signal detected from the dvd source. Double check on the toslink cable and change to new one but the problem persist.

Your player has as much to do with this as the receiver. It must be set to transmit the DTS bitstream. Even within a given DVD movie there are choices for which of several soundtracks to be used.

Denon 2802 amp

Dear Armani,

You cannot put de leads from an MP3 player or your TV into the pre-amplified connection of your Denon,
the phono "stage" is a low input stage, your input from MP3, TV, CD, DVD oscasetteplayer is high output (a 5 to 10 times stronger signal)
Try every other stage like tape 1 or 2, this will work just fine,

What is the A.F.D. mode?

it stands for All Field Dynamics. this is the mode you need to use in order to get the dts to work. use a digital input (either coax or fiber optic) from your dvd player and cable or satellite box and run in a.f.d. what it does is picks the best quality sound input a picks what ever mode best works for it. but if you play a cd in your player it will only come out as stereo or 3 channel. so then you can pick another mode of your choice. for movies and tv just leave it on a.f.d. all the time.

How to get pay perview channels

No device would legally receive pay channels without a subscription...

The clear protective film on the DCP501 display must be removed and transferred to the inside back cover of your
DCP501 Home Theater System User Guide. The Unit Address and Serial Number found on the protective film is
required for activation of your DCP501 cable TV receiver by your cable TV service provider.

Starting system cold, no sound for 2-3 minutes

Its not worth having it looked at. $100.00 for a new 400.00 unit? My unit is doing the same thing. Turn it on and 2 to 5 minutes later it may come on. Change to video 3 4 5 etc it stop again. Only works with a cold start. Something in the unit has failed and is heat related. My original Kenwood 20/20 recevier still works. Must be 40 years old. New products just last 5 to ten years max if your lucky.
