There is not enough power coming from you radio to power the amp. You might want to look in to a capacitor. What this will do is it will pull in the power and maintain a steady output for your amp to operate

yes you have a internal fault of the amp. the circuit that puts it into safe mode is bad and that is a very small chip on the board know as a op amp. needs to be repaired.

Tried all that and still mine is in protect mode. Every other amp works fine on the wires but that amp is an epic fail. Solution: DO NOT BUY THIS TYPE OF AMP...
