Question about Kenwood KDC-MP335 CD Player

Kenwood bass level

I have a kenwood kdc-mp338 and i know how to change the bass on side speakers but dont know how to change sub woofer level it says it has that feature but i do not know how to get to it i have a rockford fosgate amp and kicker cvr sub installed because when i turn up music side speakers blur out and sub sounds good i want to know how to get to feature thanks

How to solve if player protected


check to make sure you don't have a shorted speaker or speaker wires. this can be done if you have a multimeter. if your speakers and speaker wires all check out, you may have a bad output ic inside of the deck.

I have a Kenwood kdc-mp342u car cd player installed in my truck. I have subs hooked up to it and everything was working fine until i had to reset my radio and when i reset it the "sub Level...


Subwoofer output: Hold the (AM-) button down for at least two seconds. You can do this function when "SWPRE" in is set to . The SWPRE (Switching Preout) Switches the preout between rear output ("R") and subwoofer output ("SW").

Speakers work but sub does not. is there a switch that changes from speaker to sub?


There is no subwoofer output for the mp3028. Does the amp have speaker level input.

Installing a amp with my kenwood mp338 receiver


You shouldn't need any special adaptors. You just have to connect the RCA cables and the remote turn on lead to the receiver and then to the amp.

Adding new speakers to the deck


You need to know if these are Pizo tweeters or dome tweeters. If Pizo just hool them up to the white and gray wires off the kenwood. if not, then you should go to your local stereo shop and by bass blockers (small capacitors will do). this is only to "erase" the ohm load. once you have those inline of the POSITIVE wire you can hook the up to the gray and white wires.
