You can't have xboxe live through a straight phone line.
Only by using gateway to the internet.
Like a dsl modem/router or cable modem/router.

- I have a phone line & a modem but the moden doesnt have an cable insert in the back of it. Is there anyway i can get Xbox Live through the modem by using a phone line... Also my internet is pretty fast so i dont believe it is dial-up, yes i know that sounds stupid but i really need to know!- GuestSolution #1

If were talking a common router you will have to have a broadband connection going to the box from a local provider and a good signal along with a ethernet cable that you will need to plug into the back of the router and connect to the XBOX 360 ( Note: XBOX ) does not have access to XBOX360 Live . Microsoft offers alot of Tech support on www.xbox.com
