SOURCE: i have a T31 pinner and the top valve is broke

I have been buying Bostitch t31 parts on ebay. Rebuild kit usually about $22 - 39 depending on how luckey you are at bidding. Keep searching on Ebay for other parts for this gun as parts are not available at Bostitch.com any longer. The oring kit for the N60 is available at amazon.com. the part number is ORK1, cost under $20. You can also find bargains on ebay. When installing orings us silicone grease. It is available at lowes in the plumbing department. It looks like vaseling. It is used for lubricating orings in faucets. Good luck on your repair project.

It double nails quite a lot

Time for an oring kit and also replace the trigger valve. These nailers have some vinyl /gold colored orings that fail. If you buy a kit, , make sure that the vinyl orings in the kit are still usable. If you have a source for buna orings, use them instead. Good luck.

When you pull the trigger air comes out near the trigger and no nail is fired.

The problem that you describe indicates that the orings within the trigger failed. You could replace the orings if you have a source for very small rings (2mm x 1.5 for the firing pin inside the trigger valve) or just replace the whole trigger assembly (under $10). Lube all orings with white grease or silicone paste lube (remove head and lube head valve assembly). Good luck

Will not nail anymore, what could it be ?

Dewalt nailers have some vinyl orings that fail. Usually found within the trigger valve, headvalve, and between the cylinder and cylinder spacer (white plastic piece). Oring kit sold by dewalt will contain most of the orings needed. The kit may not have orings for the trigger. You will at need two orings (2mm x 1.5mm) for the trigger valve stem or just replace the valve. Use white grease or silicone paste lube on all the orings. Good luck.

Nail gun leaking air at trigger

Worn orings always results in leaks/low power. On some nailers, better to replace whole trigger valve as seperate orings (very small) are hard to find and usually not in repair kit. Low power is usually worn driver oring. Easy test, remove nails and point nailer up then down again. If the driver seems to move up and down within the cylinder, time to replace oring/s. Look for repair/tune up kit that contains all the orings in the gun.

Bostitch N80SB won't reset after firing

Most likely just needs piston oring. Remove nails from the gun and point nose of gun up then down again. If the piston travels up and down in the cylinder, replace the oring. The piston returns to top with air pressure and needs good snug piston oring and good lower bumper (if bumper is cracked or missing pieces ~ replace ). Be sure to lube the orings in the headvalve with silicone paste or white grease. Part # ORK11 oring kit will reseal the gun. Good luck with your repair.

I have an air leak, where can I purchase a gasket set for my framing nailer

Best place for parts is www.toolpartsdirect.com. They do not sell a gasket kit. The parts are listed individually. oring kits are available on ebay for about 20.dollars. Use key search "hitachi oring kit". If you have question about your leak and specific cause of leak post again with exact area of leak. Good luck with your repair

Air leaks out where nail comes out , dewalt air hammer

Dewalt nailers have some orings made of vinyl in critical sealing areas that failed due to oil/water in the supply air. One indication of failed cylinder seal orings is leak out of nose. You could replace the individual orings or order oring kit #610773.01 from dewalt service center or on line at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Second option is to take gun to a fastener outlet that also repairs the popular brands of nailers and ask them to match orings with better viton type seals instead of vinyl. If you are handyman type, pull parts out of gun and take worn orings (and parts) to bearing dealer and they will measure your seals and sell you some oring lube. Good holiday

DeWalt51321 roofer.The driver won't retract all

You need to check the piston oring for damage. If the driver slides through the cylinder without much resistance this is part of the problem, if not all of the problem. Check the cylinder for scarring on the inside where the driver travels. If you see long scratches the cylinder needs to be honed out or replaced plus the driver oring replaced. You also need to check the two o-rings at the bottom section of the cylinder. These will be in grooves on the cylinder which will have holes behind one of them. If these are weak they will not be sealing off the air well enough to return the driver. Air goes through these holes on the down stroke then it seals so the pressure built up in the lower chamber will force the driver back up. To replace the driver o-ring and the 2 lower cylinder orings would be about $5. You may want to try this before getting the o-ring kit. An o-ring kit is $42. If you cannot locate the problem individually you may want to replace all the o-rings in the kit. This should solve your problem as long as there is no scarring in the cylinder. Any questions please post back
