Can not download yahoo toolbar "Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer's Add-on Management feature lets you view, enable and disable the list of add-ons which can be loaded by Internet Explorer. Add-ons include browser helper objects, ActiveX controls, toolbar extensions and browser extensions.
To view or modify the add-ons on your computer by launching Manage Add-ons:
1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons. 2. To disable an add-on, select it in the list in the Manage Add-ons dialog box and select the Disable radio button. 3. To enable an add-on, select it in the list in the Manage Add-ons dialog box and select the Enable radio button. 4. Click OK to confirm. Note: Disabling an add-on does not remove it from your computer. It simply prevents Internet Explorer from executing the add-on's code-it does not prevent other software from executing the add-on. If an add-on is disabled, website pages that rely on that add-on may not work as expected. For more information on Add-ons, click the "Learn more about add-ons" help link in the Manage Add-ons dialog box.

I can log onto facebook but cant get my profile page or messages. This has happened after my pc crashed and everything had to reinstalled. Have I changed some setting? any ideas? Email:...

Make sure you're using the latest version of your web browser. Try turning off any ad blocking or noscripting addons or extensions you may have on. Try using a different browser like Google's Chrome which has good support for modern web pages. This will at least tell you if its a problem with your browser or computer/network. If you're on a school or work network facebook might be blocked.

Internet exp stop working whenever i want to view my fb home

It could be one of the Internet Explorer Add-ons is causing a problem or it is conflicting with another add-on.

Start Internet Explorer withour add-ons:

Click Start, then click Run and in the Run box type in iexplore.exe -extoff

Internet Explorer should open up without a home page and on the screen will tell you it is working without add-ons. Try and browse some of your websites.

Does this error happen when you try this? If it doesn't, go to Control Panel > Internet Options, click the Programs Tab at the top then click the Manage Add-ons button. Go through the list of add-ons that are currently installed and disable the ones you recognize like Google or Yahoo toolbars, etc. Don't disable any of them that you know the publisher for, like Microsoft or Java (Sun Microsystems)

If the error still occurs, the Internet Explorer 7 you have may have an error. You can back up your favourites list, the go to http://support.microsoft.com and download and re-install IE7 or download and install the new IE8.

Also, if it occurs on a specific website like Facebook, update some of your website add-ons. Go to http://www.java.com or http://www.adobe.com and install the latest Java and Flash Player.

Could someone please tell me why I can't install adobe flash player 9 on an Acer Aspire T180-0A7Z? I keep being told that installation is complete, however when I go to play a video, it asks me to...

  1. Restart: In some situations, Windows or Internet Explorer needs to be restarted in order to complete an update. Restart your machine, and test Flash Player before moving to Step 2.
  2. Reinstall: Refer to the steps in Try this first: How to fix almost all Flash Player issues.
  3. Repair the browser: The next most common cause of problems is an error with the browser. Often a browser upgrade or changes to the browser may require a browser repair and reinstallation of Flash Player.

To repair Internet Explorer: Choose Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Choose the browser from the list of programs, click Change/Remove, and choose the Repair option. Restart after repairing the browser, and follow steps in Try this first: How to fix almost all Flash Player issues to reinstall Flash Player again. If Internet Explorer does not appear on the Add/Remove list, Repair is not an option, and you should move on to the next step.

Other browsers: Follow the steps above to see if your browser has a Repair option; if it does, repair it. If your browser (such as Netscape) does not have a Repair option, you must reinstall the browser in order to repair it. Try Steps 4 through 7 first before moving on to Step 8 to reinstall the browser.
  4. Security level: Your Internet Explorer security level may be set to High or a custom level which does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.

To view your Security level, from within Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options, and in the Security tab, choose Internet.

Though your browser security settings should be chosen by you or your system administrator, the Medium: Default Level will allow you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" are not disabled. (Enable or Prompt will work).
  5. Permissions: Your permissions may not allow you to install ActiveX controls or plug-ins. If this is a possibility, refer to Permissions can affect installing Adobe Flash Player for more information.
  6. Update your video drivers: This step is especially important if you experience a freeze or crash when installing or using Flash Player. Right-click on your Desktop and choose Properties > Settings > Advanced > Adapter to view the manufacturer's name. Refer to the manufacturer's website to download drivers or for assistance with installing the latest drivers.
  7. Reinstall the browser: Download and install the latest version from your browser manufacturer's website. Download and install the latest Flash Player from the Flash Player Download Center.
