Question about Emerson TC2556D TV
Doesn't sound like there's any pattern on this shutdown??? I'd suspect poor solder connections first. Might look at R447 and R448 located in the right front corner of the PCB. They are both 2.7k/2w resistors that get quite hot during normal operation. This heat can cause ring cracking and thus the symptoms you're describing here. Don't limit your search there. If you find either or both of these ring cracked take the time to inspect the rest of the board with great attention to detail in the higher thermal areas of the board.
