That is a problem with the movement of the print head. There are 2 main causes of that.
1, On the left side, looking from the front, about 3/4s of the way back on the lower frame there is a 1 inch by 1 inch stainless steel print head block, There can be ink spilled over into it causint the print head not to tilt forward and back properly. That block can be removed and cleaned pretty easily. There is a spring assambly just hooked over it and that needs to come off, and you may need a pair or channel lock pliers if the block is really full of ink. Clean that block and remove as much excess as you can.
2, The Print head wiper blade may be tacked to the print head, This would occur if the machine was powered down improperly or there was a power failure.That would require removing both side covers and the ink loader, Where you insert the ink sticks. Once there you access the print head area, the blade would be between the print head and the drum.
That is the 2 most likely causes of that prpblem

This is a print head position issue.
TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
1. Check that the wipe mechanism has homed. 2. Check the printhead position and verify that it has initialized properly / manually home the printhead and power cycle the printers power and check for the error to return. If not then the error was most likely due to non-process function (something out of sequence).
Part likely to be the cause:

there is a stainless steel print head block on the lower back portion of the frame that gets contaminated with spill over ink from the catch tray. That causes the print head not to move properly.
The wiper blade may also be tacked to the print head.
That code means the print head is not moving into the print position properly.
That stainless steel block is about 1 inch square.

Most likely you are using generic ink or ink not made for that specific machine. The black ink is the one causing the problem. the printer will then need to be reset.

09,03x 35 = Cyan 36 = Magenta 37 = Yellow 38 = Black The error indicates an ink stick was jammed. You have to clear the ISC (ink stick count) error. Turn off the printer. Turn on the printer. As soon as you see XEROX start moving across the display hold down the back and help buttons until you see "beginning service mode" on the display. Release the buttons, it will now come up in the service mode. Scroll down to the function menu, hit ok, scoll to clear isc faault, hit ok. Hit the back button to get back to the first menu then exit diagnostics, hit ok when it asks if you want to restart in customer mode.
