Question about ASUS P4P800 SE (890552603657) Motherboard
I need the wiring off the tower into the motherboard
i have 2 gray wire with 4 wire at the end of it red, black, green and whit that go on 8 prong on mother board and i don't know how they should be. i have a asus p4p800 motherboard
The 2 grey wires with the 4 pin connectors would be for the USB ports at the front of the tower. They need to be connected to the motherboard usb pin outs. Usually marked on motherboard as "USB1", "USB2" etc. Generally the red wire should be the "power" and goes to pin1 or 2 on the connector. Pin 1 is normally marked by a thick line on the board at that end of the connector, but it's easier to say Pin1 is the opposite end to the single pin on it's own (which isnt used). You really should check the manual for the board to confirm the connections though.
