Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

1 Answer

My whitemagic machine allows me to select a program and when i press the start button it shows PE error. This is happening since 2 days now.

The machine was functioning perfectly fine till day before and now since yesterday, after i select a program, it shows me a PE Error. Also when i press the buttons for a program selection, the beep sound is muffled...usually the beep sound is audible and loud. I ahve not moved the machine since in the past few months, so there cannot be a loose connection due to movement.

This is a Pressure Sensor Error.
Remove the top of the washer. The pressure is usually located at the top. It will have a plastic tube about 5/16 in size. Remove the tube and blow down into it to try and clear any blockage. If that doesn't work replace the pressure switch.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune TL electronics problem

I’m not sure what machine model you have your in the FAV6800AW forum. I got Maytag CSV to send me a Control Board for my FAV6800AW. Had to do some arm twisting it is under warranty for 5 years. If you think your Control Board or console is under warranty give it a try. They wanted a Cert Svr Tech to diag the problem. I told them my neighbor was a Svr Tech (me) he had diag the problem and would install the part. They sent me the Control Board, it might be worth a try. I have a number spare parts not under warranty and ebay is my 1st choice, Second Choice . I use this for parts look up Sears Parts Direct.
What is your model type? It sounds like you have Service Manual for your machine and you are troubleshooting in the right direction. Do you have surge protection on the 120VAC outlet powering your machine. Good Luck Rich.

SOURCE: F30 error code...what is this problem?

F30 is a dispenser failure code on the Duet Sport washer.
It means the dispenser motor will not go to the proper position.
Remove the top of the washer and inspect the dispenser linkage to see if it is binding up.
Post back with what you find and we will check from there.
Thanks/Mike

SOURCE: "OP" ERROR CODE

Take a look at this post, it’s for troubleshooting an OD alarm but you can follow the same troubleshooting path to see if you have a lid magnet out of position or a broken lead on the magnetic reed relay located in the left lid lock. The lid magnet operates the magnetic reed relay to signal the lid is closed/the lid is open. Try an external magnet on the left bumper and see if that clears the OP error code with the lid open. If it doesn’t I would try reseating the left lid lock plug (possible corrosion issues). If that doesn’t clear the OP alarm it would be time to pull the life lid lock out of the machine and inspect for a broken lead on the magnetic reed relay or other corrosion issues with the left lid lock. The left lid lock is in a location near the bleach dispenser. Links to the SM are in that post and a link for parts look up. Post back if you have questions

White Magic 650H. Why is error code PE displayed and water reuse LED blinking?

In my research, the PE error relates to the fill level of the washing machine. The fill level sensor is a pressure operated device. There is a sealed air line that goes from the bottom of the tub to an air pressure sensor. As the tub fills, it compresses the air in this air pressure sensor. When the tub is filled to the level selected on the dial, the sensor stops the fill cycle.

This air line can be plugged or the sensor itself can be faulty. This air pressure sensor is usually located near the top of the tub just under the top cover. If you can locate it, disconnect the air line from the pressure sensor and blow through it - it may be blocked by lint and soap from several washing cycles. There may be a filter in this line to help prevent this blockage. But the filter may have become blocked itself.

Hey i;m hector : MY PROBLEM / 7 DAYS SETUP NO WORK ; ( ej: TIME ON 8.00PM- TIME OFF 5.00AM( SEME DAYS MONDAY TO SUNDAYS?

Hi Hector.
You posted under ET171C8.
You have the timer in front of you, and whole manual cannot be repeated. So there are two options
1) Free option: Add a comment and say specifically where the programming is tricky. If you don't understand the buttons, or if display doesn't show, or if you can't find all days by pushing day button, or if you can't find the am pm choice.
2) Pay for fixya expert to walk you through each step via e-mail.

http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/electronic%20time%20switches/7%20day%2030%20amp.aspx

If display shows, then battery is correctly installed.

Instructions copied from manual:
1) RESET TIME SWITCH: Press the recessed RESET switch to reset the
microprocessor and delete any set point information which has been
programmed. NOTE: DO NOT press RESET after programming has
begun or you will lose all of your program information.
2) TO SET TIME AND DAY OF WEEK: Place the three position selector
in PROGRAM and the two position selector in CLK mode. Press the
HOUR, MINUTE and DAY buttons individually to select the current time
of day (12 hour AM/PM repeating) and the day of the week. Day 1 is
Sunday, day 2 is Monday, etc.
3) TO PROGRAM SET POINTS: Select PROGRAM mode with the three
position selector and OUTPUT mode with the two position selector.
Press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons separately to program the first set point time desired.
Press the DAY button to select the day the event is to occur.
Press the ON/OFF button to select an ON or OFF set point.
Press the ENTER button to enter that set point for the selected day.
Note that the ON or OFF indicator stops flashing only after pressing ENTER. If this set point is to occur for other days of the week, simply press the DAY button to select the next day then ENTER. Repeat for any additional days. Note that this allows you to utilize one set point for
any or all days of the week.
Then set timer to AUTO for programs to operate

If the timer will not program, then it has gone bad.

Plug timer into wall receptacle

Some digital timers require back-up battery to be fully charged before display will show
Back up battery allows programming while timer is removed from receptacle
After timer is programmed, plug timer back into receptacle

If lights don't turn on, then you need to rewire ... so re-post a re-wire question ... and then come back to this answer to program

2) Set Time and Day/ Correct time and day are needed for programs to work.
To start, notice on the screen - in the corners are little letters: MAN, MO, OFF. And to left of time is PM.

Press one of the control buttons to finish operation

Programming overview
:
Timer allows 7 programs
Program 1, Program 2 etc
Each program has ON and OFF time
So you have to select Program 1
And then set DAY for Program 1, set ON time for Program 1, and then set OFF time for Program 1
Next you do the same for Program 2 , and then Program 3, 4 etc to 7
If you only want Program 1, then you do not need to set Programs 2 thru 7

Press PGM button, and notice that OFF appears in top right corner of screen
Set the day you want timer to turn OFF for Program 1 by pressing DAY button >>> Tip set same days you set for ON times. So if you selected all seven days for ON time, then select all seven days for OFF time
Set the hour and minute you want Program 1 to turn OFF by using Hour and MIN buttons as before.

OK, the ON and OFF day, hour and minute are set for Program 1.
To continue to Program 2, press PGM button until a 2 appears on screen below the P
If you do not want to set more Programs, then you're finished
