Try taking out the memory sticks. If you have more than one try using one at a time. try in all slots.

I had the power supply checked first. Still got the same single beep. Then I replaced the logic board. I got the same beep. I replaced the processor. I got the same beep. I removed all the memory sticks and put in one at a time. I got the same beep.

SOURCE: Will not power up

try re-setting the BIOS by using the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard. If that does not work then remove the memory dimms, cd-rom drive, hard drive, floppy drive and any PCI components. After that try the computer and see if you at least get a post-up screen. If you do then re-connect each component until the post up screen stops again and that is your problem component. If not then your motherboard is bad.

What processor for dell inspiron m5030,and how to replace, the 7 beep code heard says cpu failure?

I would confirm it is faulty first. I have been in the electronics industry working with processors for years and have never come across a faulty processor!. Is the oscillator running? Has it got 3v3 supply?
If you feel the need to replace it, take the old one out and order the exact part number that is printed on the processor.
Seven beeps is usually a RAM failure.

Your beep codes indicate a processor failure, did you purchase a new processor with the MB or did you use the old one?

My inspiron not start, first it try to starting but when dell-logo is open, after that it is not go more. 11 fast peep and then 1 peep????

11 beeps usually Indicates an error in the memory. If the system has a Pentium class processor, you should try to remove and reinsert the processor on the Mother Board. If the system has a memory module, try the same thing with the memory module.

Dell Inspiron 1520 extremely dim screen and double beep at start up

You have a inverter circuit that is malfunctioning and needs replacement if it is on the mother board the mother board may need replacement . There also may be a failing video card.

Solid amber light ON Dell Inspiron 530 desktop. The Fans start and stop immediately. The mother board has the power ON Amber light.

The Yellow Light of Death, anyway turn on Your PC, as it starts You will here some beeps especially on a Dells. Count the beeps , there will be a slight pause so it will beep once then pause then beep again. Count the beeps and that will be Your code. Go to Dell Support site and look up code. Most of the time a Yellow amber light means that there is trouble with Your Motherboard but thats not to say its the Motherboard itself, it could have possibly burned out Your RAM, Processor, Heat fan, even the power supply itself. So look up the code and at least You'll have a better chance of finding the solution, Good Luck

Inspiron 8600 does not charge batteries. Power

hello

As you have mentioned that power supply is working fine then there can be only two things.

  1. Your charging module in the mother board is malfunctioning. And you cannot replace a particular module, you have to replace whole motherboard for it.If your system is under warranty Dell will do it for free.
  2. The connector which connects the battery with the mother board is gone.
hope this will solve your problem

Thank you.

Dell XPS M2010 Starting Problems

If they've changed everything else, why didn't they replace the power supply? That's the next part to target for replacement, other than the on/off switch (or button) itself. With no system board beep codes it's apparent that the mobo isn't gettting any juice at all.

Also try disconnecting everything from the mobo but the power supply - including pulling add-on cards. One or more attached devices may be contributing to the problem. If it comes to life start adding things back until it fails - you've just identified the culprit.

Good Luck!

One long beep.

  1. Leave the memory slot closest to the processor empty and try booting again. Award bios 1 long beep is memory error as the first 64K of the ram stick closest to th processor is accessed first. since you have tried different ram in different locations, let's rule out the board.
  2. If that doesn't solve anything try a different power supply. Sometimes (Phoenix) gives a long beep when system board or power supply are bad.
  3. Now if nothing else has worked it is probably tour mother board.
