Question about Washing Machines

E10 error with my Electrolux EWF1083. Checked hoses - no kinks, checked filter - all clear, have noticed however when the machine fills with water I pull out the soap tray and see that the water is going into the prewash trough rather than the centre one and during the rinse cycle water that should be going into the fabric softner trough is in fact going into the centre soap powder dispender. Sounds like a programing issue?

Thanks Richard, as mentioned in my post I have checked all the hoses both inlet and outlet and all are free of kinks. Filter is all clear. Washing machine fills up as required on wash and rinse cycles however on at least 2 occasions during the full cycle E10 appears and by pressing the start button it resumes as normal. What I can't figure out is why on fill up water goes into the pre-wash trough leaving the soap in the middle trough. Also when the fabric softener is required water flows into the centre soap trough and not into the softner trough. It seems that the water flow in to soap troughs has gone one row over to the left.

I tried suggested answers around the internet (check hose, cleaning filters, etc. Nothing worked). What fixed the problem (at least temporaly) was to unplug the artifact, plug again, turn it off and then reset the program. This made the water valves make a "clack" sound and start working again (I could hear the water coming in).

E10 is a timeout code. Check the water supply lines for a kink or a clogged filter.

SOURCE: HOTPOINT ULTIMA WD71..WHEN THE MACHINE

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Following is pre-typed, saves time - in your case just refer to 'cold' please ;-0)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

My washing machine keeps stopping during its washing cycle and says fault E10

Thank you for your inquiry, Barbara Constable!
I see that your Electrolux washer is displaying an "E10" error code. "E10" stands for fill time too long you may want to check the hoses to make sure they are not restricted or kinked this could cause slow fill within your washer. If the hoses look to be in good shape then I would suggest it could be a faulty sensor or control panel. You could additionally reset your washer by disconnecting power from it for ten minutes. If you restore power and it continues to flash "E10" I would recommend having a professional out to properly diagnosis your washer. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt

It is the customer fault code. Simply turn on and turn off appliance.
E11 - problem with fill water
E21 - problem with draining water
E41 - door open
All other errors require service staff !!!

E10 code on a affinity

Hi James, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

If you are receiving an error code E10, it typically indicates that your washer machine is taking a long time to fill (or is continuing to fill). Here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may help you resolve this issue:

·Is the incoming water flow normal? If it is, does the fill water continue to enter your washer? If yes, disconnect power from your appliance. Did the water fill stop? If so, a service technician may need to check the pressure sensor or switch to determine if it needs replacement.

·If your water flow is abnormal, double-check water faucets to ensure they are in the "on" position. If on, your incoming water pressure may be above 30 PSI and could need adjusting. Check for any kinked or blocked water hoses or clogged water screens. If you've cleared the water screen and/or unblocked any kinked water hoses, and the problem still persists, it could possibly be a water inlet valve assembly.

·If you have checked all of the above, your washer may need a main control board replacement. I would recommend contacting a qualified service technician to further assist you in diagnosing this issue.

Best regards!

Good Morning shannon galway - Could the unit possibly be experiencing an E10 or E11 and not displaying all of the numbers correct? If so, both error codes indicates that the water is taking too long to fill.

However, if you are not experiencing either of these two error codes, is your unit an international model? If so, this could mean something completely different, which I would personally suggest reaching out to the manufacturer directly for further assistance.

E10 indicates that the water inlet hose is squashed or kinked.

First check the filter for coins or other junks.
Make sure the drain hose isn't blocked, restricted or kinked.

Hope this helps.. Good luck! ;)
