Question about Philips HTS3410D/37 700W DVD Home Theater System System
If I place a movie in the dvd player the display just says "loading" but the movie never plays. Cds and workout videos play with no issues.

The options when you play a DVD it will appear when you are connecting ext HD it will not work.
Better you need the play in a DVD Disc to get the good sound.

SOURCE: will not play dvds
This is due to the lense problem, when there is "disk error" and "no disk" appears due to defect in the lense and tray with motor problem,
You can repair this issue by technical method by replacing the lense with motor set this will resolve your issue.

I have the same exact problem with that dvd player. So far i am not aware of any solutions yet. I called phillips and they said they will try to create new firmware uprgade for the dvd player to fix the problem and they told me to keep an eye out for it on the website. I installed the most recent firmware too but that didnt help at all. The only other solution i see is maybe downloading the entire movie from pirate website and burn the dvd files onto a high quality disc at slow speed with a good dvd writing program.
