Magnavox CDB 586 CD Caroussel Stuck

Won't raise caroussel and eject. No bad noises, just no action.
Took off top and front and can't access back area where CD's are removed by machine. Top plastic piece of the area that holds caroussel is a one piece plastic that can't be removed. All little belts that are visible are good.

A CD is stuck in my bose system How do I get it out?

From an other web site

If you have a cd or two stuck in your Bose wave radio, here's how to remove it and save yourself $99. This procedure is for the radio (model AWRCC1 or similar) with a single front loading cd slot.

PART I
1. First unplug the power, wait a minute, and then replug power, watching the front display.
2. The display will read "Ejecting". If the cd ejects, then you're done and can skip Part II. If it doesn't eject and/or it displays "Disk error" then you'll need to do the Part II steps.

PART II
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Turn the radio upside down with the front facing you.
3. Remove the 5 screws from the bottom plate.
4. Hinge the front of the bottom plate up no more than 2". Don't overdo this or you'll damage various ribbon cables inside. Use extra hands or a prop to keep it open this amount.
5. Reach inside and tilt-up the front of cd player's metal housing just enough to access the rims of the cd(s) within the space created in step 4.
6. Pinch the rim(s) of the cd(s) and gently pull it/them out.
7. Reverse these steps to reassemble your radio.

Enjoy your cd player again!

Deck a will not eject

It is a belt that is loose and the motor that is slipping is the noise you hear. Usually if you can get the belt out and measure it subtract 5%

Sony CDP-C910 will no longer play cds or eject changer cartridge

Mine did the same thing. My player was primarily used in the garage and the cold weather may have caused my player to do the same thing. I just fixed my player. I removed the top cover and looked at the CD in the play position. In the upper right corner from the CD, you will see a spindle motor with a belt on it. Gently spin the motor back and forth carefully with your finger. I rotated it a half-spin in either direction, careful not to dislodge the belt. When I turned the player back on, the mechanism operated as it normally would and began playing the disc. I was able to eject and reinsert the magazine without any issues, solving the problem. Hopefully that will work for you.

CD/dvd won't come out

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It is due to the short drive. In the front of the CD-ROM, there is a small pinhole. Put a straighten paper clip in that hole, this should pop the tray open. You may also try a small screw driver when pressing eject button, use it above the ejecting tray and it will eject the CD. This problem occurs when the ejection tray was tried to be opened in the ways other than it was designed for.

Once you get the tray open and have salvaged your CD, close it and check in Device Manager for yellow exclamation points by the CD-ROM listing. Somebody may have deleted the driver Also, check in the bios to see if it's listed.
Its probably either loose or maybe broken. Please replace it.

Generally something that is time related with a CD player indicates that there is something stuck in one of the gear teeth that drive the laser back and forth to play different areas of the disc. A very small piece of dirt/sand can get inside and stuck in a gear tooth preventing the laser from moving past that point on the CD, you can advance the laser unit a bit more quickly than if you were to let the disc play through, that might dislodge the piece. Another scenario could be a cracked gear in the same drive area. There is a piece that is attached to the laser which has gear teeth in it that mesh with the gears that move it. Make sure you do not have the player plugged in when you open it; the laser is capable of damaging your eyes.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Discs will not eject, unit makes strange clicking noise

HI, the gear track is stripped and the load motor is stuck between the good section of the track and the bad section of the track. you will need to replace the loading dock in your unit. this will fix this issue.

Multi cd bose player will not eject 4th cd.

OK, this problem is everywhere with the bose cd changer addon. Many people can still play a cd with the top one fine, but cannot get cds to eject and/or read in 3 disc changer. My friends mom had one and after finally hearing back from bose, they said send it in with $100 to get fixed. If you have to send in and you value your cds, you may want to open it up and get them out. Use this at your own risk, there are no warranty stickers I saw and there will be exposed voltage, shock hazards, etc.; so if any of this worries you, stop here. By proceeding, you are admitting that you are capable of minor repairs and therefore I'm not responsible for any damage or harm caused. OK, here it is:
Unplug everything. On the bottom of the cd changer unit are 4 screws (silver ones recessed about 3/4" or so, use phillips screwdriver) to remove. Turn unit upright again and lift cover slowly straight up. In the front of the unit is a ribbon cable you will want to disconnect that goes to the cd 2-4 lights. Take note which side the dark blue tab is on and gently pull out by dark blue tab, rocking side to side if needed) You can then pull cover all the way off and set aside. Plug power into back of cd changer (careful not to touch anything inside) and see if the cds want to eject now. If not let the initializing process finish and repeat. This time see if you can gently help the cd out. The problem may also be the spindle not lowering, you can look for this movement during the last step of init. process. Work your way fom the top tray down removing the cds gently, remember we open it up because they were valuable to us, don't destroy them now, and don't ever use anything that could possibly scratch either top or bottom of the cd, use edges instead. Start to replace cover making sure to reattach ribbon cable back into socket the same way it came out. do not force too hard or you may crease and break ribbon. Gently replace cover and grab both top and bottom to turn over. Replace 4 phillips screws making sure not to overtighten or cross-thread. Now you may return to bose or just find an independent repair shop in your area, they are usually quicker, more polite, usually cheaper, and best of all, local!
