i fixed mine by pushing the power button and the down volume button at the same time and then when the white screen came on choice recovery and let it go to the black screen with a little icon on it then pushed the same two buttons to power down the phone after like five minutes and the pushed my power button twice and it came on!

Also, ensure you don't have a lot of open running programs. Perhaps once a day, clean the cashe and history. Do a soft reset (aka battery pull) once or twice a week. All depends on how hard you play with this lovely PDA device!

SOURCE: HTC Touch Viva is not charging

You have to check first the charger you can used multitester in position DC volt to make sure the voltage no problem, if in the plug no voltage maybe the cable damage, or the soldering on pcb circuit bad,you can try with another charger first to make sure where is the problem.

SOURCE: My HTC Touch Pro turns completely off in the middle of the night

I think I have found out the way to solve this problem! I think! Ok on my phone I changed the power settings. Go to settings>all settings(if on touch flo)>system tab>power>advanced tab> then uncheck the two boxes that says "turn off device if not used for". Hopefully this works because I don't want to trade in my htc for another phone. Try it out and let me know if this works for you or not.

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold the power button and the down button simultaneously and see if the phone turns on. It could be the cable but I think it was more the power supply unit that could have something to do with the glitch.

I have an HTC 8X phone and it has randomly decided to turn off and is now unresponsive to the power button and chargers. It was perfectly fine a second ago with no problems at all. And unfortunately this...

  • First try a 'soft' reset (no data loss)
  1. Just hold the power button down for 30 seconds.
  • If there's no joy there then try a 'hard' reset (may cause data loss though most of your data should be backed up through SkyDrive)
  1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  2. Release the VOLUME DOWN button when you see an icon on the screen.
  3. Press the following hardware buttons in sequence: VOLUME UP > VOLUME DOWN > POWER > VOLUME DOWN.
  • If nothing happens that time, try holding down VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN and POWER buttons all at once for thirty seconds or until the phone vibrates.
  • If non of these work try them in the same order but after the phone has been charging for one hour.
  • If there's still nothing after this, comment here and I'll post steps for recovery attempts through your PC or Mac.

Good Luck,

HTC Touch 3g clone (T3238) won't turn on, no lights, nothing!

Power off the device, then hold the Volume Down and Enter buttons at the same time, then press the Power button.
A message should come up asking if you’re sure you want to do this, let go of the buttons you held down and press the Volume Up button to accept, or any other button to cancel the reset.

please note >> it is will delete all your data ...........!
