It sounds like the rollers are dirty and need to be cleaned to be cleaned ( A Q-TIP and achol will do fine) getting the tape out can be tricky because its unwound inside of unit you may have to take unit apart and cut the loose tape then eject

Lamp Time Reset for LG TVs

If you replace the DLP lamp out of your LG, you will need to reset the counter…Otherwise you may get an annoying reminder every few days if you’re surpassed the predetermined hour mark.

Ensure the TV is powered on.

Press and hold the MENU button on the TV

Press and hold the MENU button on your REMOTE
(hold both these until the service menu pops up 5-10 secs max.)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV

Press and hold the ENTER (or OK) button on the TV

Press and hold the MUTE button on the REMOTE
(hold both until the LAMP LIFE HOURS appears on the screen)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV
We suggest writing your lamp hours on a piece of masking tape and taping it to the back the TV for future reference

To reset the lamp counter, press SELECT (or the button in the middle of the direction arrove buttons). Hit SELECT a second time to confirm clearing the lamp counter

For certain models, you might have to tweak these steps slightly… offer your inputs!

Samsung 61 after 20 mins turns off not a cooling problem checked

It could be a issue with the ballast try to check if you have a buzzing sound. if it does is most likely a issue with the ballast (only if sound cames near the lamp) you can check that just follow the cables that are connected to the lamp, take out the back cover of tv, and keep pushing the switch cover (if not tv will not turn ON). and check if that sound comes from the only board connected to lamp. if it does, you are going to need a ballast.

Won't eject tape.

I had a Sony SLV-N60 VCR that wouldn't eject the tape.

After removing a few large and obvious screws, the I took off the cover. Inside, on one of the white plastic arms (not really an arm, but a moving part), there was a piece of junk, looked like part of a popcorn hull or something. I took that out, and for good measure, vacuumed out the rest of the chassis. The lubrication looked good, so I left it alone.

After doing that, the tape ejected perfectly. I put the cover back on, and it still works.

I have a 13" TV/VCR combo and when playing back the tape there is a lot of snow. We have cleaned the player with the cleaning tape on the market, but this does not improve it. Thought it would be...

THe video heads are clogged. The cleaning tapes are useless. This unit needs to be cleaned by a professional. You need direct access to the heads which means that the set must be dis-assembled. There is high voltage inside the set even when off and unplugged. Figure on $50 or so for a cleaning.

Am unable to get tape in VCR/combo

sir,
If you unplugged it with a tape inside that procedure has probably messed up the internal cpu or integrated circuit that controls the functions of the set.

So, it must be reset and restored to its factory settings. To do this merely unplug the power cord and leave it unplugged for at least 4 hours. It takes this long to totally discharge all the memory cells inside the unit. Then power it up again and check it out.

After the reset above if it still does not eject the tape there may be a mechanical problem. For this there are all sorts of things you can try. I refer you to www.fixer.com which has a database of things you can do to get a stuck tape out and get the tape mechanism working again.

From this site, for example, you will find a section on Sylvania vcrs that has suggestions on removing a tape. You can find it at:

Thank You

Tape stuck inside. child put it in upside down.

Take the top of your VCR off keeping mind of where the screws came from, by the front of the tape there will be a gear wheel called the elevator wheel. After you have carefully unlooped the tape from the head, turn the elevator wheel, and you will be able to remove the tape then. Simply spool the tape back up and replace the cover.

I push the tape into the Vcr it tries to play it then it simply ejects it after about 5 seconds.

This is a safety feature of the machine. If it does not detect tape movement, the unit will shutdown and eject the tape.
