Green Light on Mitsubishi WD-62525 keeps blinking

After a power outage the green light keeps blinking but the TV won't turn on. Tried the reset button but still won't come on. The manual states that the Timer is Locked. Does anyone know how to UNLOCK the Timer? The bulb was already replaced and still looks good. Any other suggestions?

Same problem. After a power outage the green timer light keeps blinking and the tv won't turn on or off. I unplugged, I reset, no luck. Now it will blink and buzz at times. What's UP?

Blinking green light of death! Use to be able just rest or pull the plug, but today it just won't go away! 5000 dollars for 3 years and died right after warranty. Never going to buy a damn Mitusbishi anything from now on!

If the timer light is blinking slowly then the timer is on, and the set will turn on normally when the power button is pressed. otherwise it is the chassis not booting up. checkout www.tv-techs.com.

After you plug in, press the reset button and wait 60 seconds. You can call Mitsubishi direct. They are very nice and when our lamp went out after about 1 year, they sent a new one free, overnight! We did have it repaired once, at about $750, that was mostly for them to come get it an bring it back. I still thought we could not get a new one for the price. Unfortunately, when you spend a lot on something, it seems to be expensive to repair as well, just like a cadillac or bmw or volvo! But then, you get what you pay for. Something great or something cheap and replacable?

Your TV is very easily fixable.

This is an extremely common problem with Mitsubishi tvs old and new. It can be fixed easily and cheaply for those willing to use their hands.

Refer to this guide to replace the capacitors on your DM Power Circuit Board part # 935C9860. You could also have someone else do it for you for $100

Guide for DIY repair: http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186

Paid Rebuild Service: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=PWB-PM-ASSY+REBUILD+SERVICE

That fixes the problem most of the time.

After replacing capacitors is you still get green light try replacing the EEprom. EEprom board also known as the E2P board is part number 935C978001

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

WD-62525, continous amber lamp light. No picture. Lamp is good.

Hello:

Make sure u replace the lamp cover as the safety switch need to be closed to make the set work. If new lamp did not repair your problem , then it may well be the Ballast Board, Sometimes call the Lamp Driver.

TV was working earlier, today came home no green power light no nothing

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.
