Behringer BXR1800H blown fuse? - Behringer BXR1800H Ultra Compact 180 Watt 2 Channel Bass Amplifier Head

Bought this unit on ebay a week ago. powered it upwhen I first arrived, lights lit up, and fan was running. plugged it into an 80 watt peavey tko bass cab a few days later to hear how it sounded, and after 30 seconds of playing through it, both units went dead. Did I fry them or just blow fuses? Any info about how to replace the fuses on either would be great. Thanks.

Might be a fuse, yes. It will require to open the unit to service. Do lights still come on? Have you tried headphones with it?

This unit takes a 100-120V T 6.3A H 250 V SLO-BLO fuse. They can be found at Radio Shaft. ;) Good luck!

BEHRINGER K3000FX will not power on

It may be likely that you've blown a fuse. This will require removal of the amplifier unit from the housing. The fuse is a 100-120 V~: 6.3 A H 250 V. You should be able to find this in most places. If the fuse is not blown, then the unit must be sent in for servicing.

Where can I get a Type T 6.3 AH 250V fuse for a K3000FX 300Watt Keyboard Amp?

Start with a 5 amp fuse and see if that holds. If it doesn't go to 10 amp. If that pops, you will have a power supply or amplifier fault. Good luck

Fail capacitors how to replace

Hello,

If capacitors are electrolytic types, then they have polarity + and -, and always are a mark on the pc board and it could be marked with either the "+" symbol or "-" capacitor has a mark itself that denotes polarity also, the most common mark i have seen is "-" running from top all the way down at a side of cap, you just have to buy them same voltage and capacitance rating and install them verifying TWICE the correct polarity and you are done, Mouser electronics has a wide stock of electrolytics, but remember polarity otherwise you will get a very big pop.

My Behringer PMX (or PMH?) 3000 powered mixer won't power on

Hi Robert,
The problem with ceramic fuses is that you can't tell if it's blown unless you put a meter on both ends to check for continuity. You probably have a friend that has a multi-meter sitting in a drawer somewhere, or a trip to the local Radio Shack will tell you right away - as well as likely finding the correct value fuse. Replacing it with a ceramic is not as critical as matching the AMPERAGE of the fuse (the Behringer site might be helpful: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Support/Find-Answers-or-Ask-Behringer.aspx
And no, the fuse didn't die on it's own, but are most prone to failure at turn on - so this time when you plugged it in after 3 years - it was time to go.

My pmp froze, tried to reset it but now it wouldn't power up

Your PMP what? Is this a Behringer?... and if so what model?... If it won't power up, for goodness sakes do NOT replace a blown fuse as additional damage usually results. Get it serviced... if under warranty, then exercise the warranty. If it is a BEhringer, then also read my tip on Fixya tips regarding PMP mixers and a hazard of using 1/4 inch plug speaker cables or adapters.

Fuse blown on Europower PMP 3000. Where can I find a 10 Amp 250 V ceramic replacement fuse?

You don't need to use a ceramic fuse if one's not available. You can also use a glass cartridge fuse as well. Just be sure the rating is the same. Be aware, though, that fuses seldom blow on their own. Usually it's because something else has shorted. So don't be surprised if replacing the fuse only results in another blown fuse. Behringer stuff is notoriously cheap and under-protected, so by the time the fuse blows it's usually more trouble than it's worth trying to fix. But maybe you'll be lucky and it will be something simple. Good luck, and thanks for using Fixya!

I have a Pmp5000 889406987784 Eurowpower PMP5000 1200-Watt 20-Channel Mixer and Speaker Output A has no output. What has happened?

Usual problem is the Channel A amplifier has burned and blown the switching transistors. Usually an internal board arc occurs and unless very skilled at board work of clearing the burned area and replacing the components you are better to replace the HCA2400 amplifier module... about $160

Good evenin' pluged a dx626 to 220V with all as it was from stock. it light for a moment and from that time doesnt work. problem in fuse? please help

It could have blown the fuse. The fuse is a part of where the power cord plugs in behind a little cover.

Most of the electronics is fairly well protected. If fuse is blown, replace with identical size and try it once. If it blows again, some parts in the power supply are damaged and will require service.
