SOURCE: CD/DVD Drive won't accept new blank CDs and

Hi,
The problem would be the dvd rom, it won't read anymore. That's a problem with a combo DVD rom, when it being use frequently it tends to breakdown, mainly the problem is the internal parts. I have tried repairing most DVD/CD Roms, to no avail..... mostly the problem would be the parts, and it is not available in the market, and it is better to buy a new one than getting it into the manufacturer's service center, they charge excessively like your buying a new one!
If the CD is stuck inside, get a pointed metal rod, there is a small hole in the face front and push the rod into that hole untill it opens the cd tray.
Thanks for using FixYa!

JVC xl-fz258 won't open to eject cd, won't play

The basic problem is that the drive mechanism has failed. The problem with CD ejection can be caused by binding in the tray or a weakened ejection motor

Card jammed in CD player of PowerBook

I would tilt the computer to the side and then hit the eject button and hopefully the eject action and gravity will do the job.

CD Player keeps ejecting the CD

Either Cd is problematic or lens inside of cd player is covered with dust. There is no way of properly cleaning it unless you remove the cd player out and disassemble.

You may try cd cleaner kits but ususally they cant help.

Cd in macbook wont ejec

This can be a problem. First try rebooting the machine, and holding the eject button when you hear the startup tone. Hopefully, that will force-eject it.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to get creative. Get a playing card or something similar, and put some rolled-over tape on one side close to the edge, so there's a sticky side out. Turn the computer off, and try to get the playing card into the CD drive, with the tape making contact with the stuck CD. Reboot, holding the eject button when you hear the eject button again, and pulling the card out. Hopefully, the CD will come out with the card. If it doesn't work, just keep trying, and you'll get it out eventually.
Generally what causes this is keeping CDs in the computer for an extended period of time, especially while the computer is powered off. Make sure you remove all CDs before moving or turning off your computer.

CD won't eject from MacBook Pro

Keep the eject button held down on switch-on.

Otherwise you'll have to have the drive dismantled.

CD Eject failure - Inserted blank cd to record songs, system would not recognized cd and will not eject. Continues to spin.

Switch off the computer.
Then restart it holding down the mouse click. Keep holding it down until the CD pops out.
If that doesn't work turn the computer off again then restart it and immediately hold down the CD eject button. Keep holding until the CD comes out.
If that doesn't work, take it to a service cenre.
