First off unplug washer.
Turn water off hot and cold.
Disconnect water lines from valve.
Remove screws from top panel on washer then slide top panel off.
Remove connections on valve. Make mental note for what goes where. ;)
Remove valve.
Install new valve.
Connect wires.
Put panel back on and screws back in.
Connect water lines hot for hot and cold for cold.
Turn water on and check for leaks around connections.
Plug washer in.
Run a load!
Hope this helps.

I have an lg dishwasher that showed an ie error so I fitted a new inlet valve It now shows an FE code?

The drain pump automatically runs when the FE code is displayed. A leaking water inlet valve or a stuck relay on the electronic control board can allow water to fill the dishwasher constantly. To check for a leaky water inlet valve, unplug the dishwasher and see if the tub continues to fill with water. If it does, shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve because the valve is letting water to flow into the dishwasher constantly. If water stops filling when you unplug the dishwasher, then you'll likely need to replace the electronic control board because the control board is constantly sending current to the water inlet valve

Water keeps running in the ice maker I replaced the pump and is still doing it

It sounds like your electronic water valve is just stuck open and will need to be replaced, or you could have an icemaker stuck in the fill mode calling for water all the time.
The best way to determine which part is faulty is to just remove the screws mounting the icemaker and then disconnect the wire connection to the icemaker. Turn the water back on and if water still keeps coming in, then you need a new electronic water valve, otherwise just replace the icemaker itself.

Whirlpool duet washer LF error

LF error means "Long Fill". Whirlpool uses a flow meter that detects the flow of water entering the washer. If this flow meter does not detect the correct amount of water entering the washer it will sound the LF error code. Often this repair can be made with out calling an appliance repairman and without ordering parts. Start by removing the washer fill hoses; both the cold and the hot water hoses. Check for proper water pressure from the house. To do so, turn the water on and put the hose inside the washer or a bucket.

If water pressure is good, check the water valve inlet screens. Most residential washing machines have inlet screens. The screens prevent minerals from clogging the solenoid. With the hoses removed, you can visually inspect the water inlet screens. If the water valve screens are clear the inlet valve with the screens itself will need to be replaced. To replace the water valve, remove the top of the washing machine. Three screws hold the top down. The screws that hold the top down are on the back of the top panel. Once removed the top will slide back and off. Now remove the wire harness that connects to the valve. One screw holds the valve to the washers cabinet. Removing the screw and sliding the valve over will release the valve from the back panel enabling you to complete your repair.

One last thing to check is the fill hoses. These front load washers call for a lot of water quickly. So if you have stainless steel braided flood-safe hoses, they will trip for no reason at all. Replace these flood safe hoses with more traditional hoses. If the hoses are good and you haven't found anything slowing down the flow of the water, your electronic inlet water valve is just faulty on the back of your washer and will need to be replaced because it's just not allowing water flow into the washer correctly.

The electronic cold water inlet valves at the top of the machine are leaking. My manual does not list the part and i need to replace it. I dont know the correct part name or number

Water Inlet Valve Replacement Procedure
Cold water inlet valve assembly: Part # 5221ER1003A
Hot water inlet valve: Part # 5220FR2006H
  1. Safety first. Unplug the machine.
  2. Close the water supply valve.
  3. Remove the cold water fill hose and drain the residual water into a pan or bucket.
  4. Remove the two screws on the back of the top panel securing it to the cabinet.
  5. Slide the top panel to the back of the machine and lift it off the cabinet.
  6. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the valves. Mark the connectors to make sure you reconnect them to the right valve.
  7. Unscrew the valve assembly from the cabinet and pull it out.
  8. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the hoses from valve assembly.
  9. Connect the hoses to the new valve assembly. Reinstall the valve assembly and the top panel in reverse of the steps above.
  10. Reconnect the fill hose and open the water supply valve.

My washing machine fills with hot water, but not with cold. The cold water barely trickles out, what is WRONG!!

CHECK TO SCREENS ON THE INTAKE VALVE SOMETIMES YOU CAN CLEAN THEM. IF YOUR WATER PRESSURE TO YOUR MACHINE IS GOOD AND THE SCREENS ARE CLEAR YOU NEED A NEW MIXING VALVE.

The icemaker has stopped making ice after 2 years of functioning.

No I don't think electronic. But you may need to check the water control valve on back and pour tap water into ice maker to see if it cycles and dumps. Remove the wires on the water control valve and with an ohm meter check both coils. The resistance should be close to the same. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Kitchenaide KUDM24SE1 dishwasher will not fill with water

It may be the water inlet valve or the electronic control board. To check, remove the bottom toe panel. The valve will be on the left side. There will be live power, so use extreme CAUTION. Start the DW, 1. if you can hear the valve humming or the valve coil is getting warm, replace the valve. 2. Using a device with wires to check the power at plugs, connect to valve power connection, if power is present, replace valve else replace electronic control board.
