Question about Admiral Dishwashers

1 Answer

D/W doesn't drain all the water out when cycle complete.

We have an excessive amount of water left in the basin when the cycle is complete. We have to turn on the dishwasher for a few seconds and then shut it off to drain the water out. Sometimes we have to do this 4 or 5 times before enough of the water is gone.

How to fix samsung dishwasher code se

The code is 5E
If your dishwasher is displaying error code 5E, It can be caused by a kinked drain hose.
If the drain hose is kinked, there will be an excessive amount of water in the bottom of your dishwasher after a cycle has been completed.
In order to access the drain hose you need access to the back of the dishwasher. If your dishwasher was recently installed, contact the installer to move the dishwasher and inspect the drain hose.
If the drain hose is not kinked, but your dishwasher is still not draining, service is required.

WHICH BUTTONS DO I PRESS TO FORCE THE DISH DRAWER TO DRAIN EXCESS WATER?

Just run the shortest wash cycle and check if it empties in the end. If not, then you have some blockage in the filter sump.

Go to the part of the user guide which explains how to clean drain filter and filter plate.

Hope this solves the problem.

Water in the bottom of the tube the drain hose is fin no kinkys or clog is there a internal filter in side the washer

It's normal for there to be about a hoseful of water left in the sump at the bottom of the machine after the cycle is over - it happens because the drain pump only works on water, so is never able to blow the last slug of water through the hose. Once the pump stops, this water runs back into the machine.

The sump is designed to be big enough to hold this amount of water without the level rising high enough to come back into the main cabinet, but in some machines you can see to the bottom if you look in the right place.

The installation instructions for the dishwasher will have had lots to say about size and position of the standpipe the drain hose goes into. Failure to follow these can increase the amount of water that runs back at the end of a cycle, so that might be worth a quick look if you think the quantities are excessive.

All the lights stay on after a cycle completion even after I siphoned all the remaining water in the filter sump.(After opening and closing the door. ASKO model 1585)

Hello, the reason for the light flash error is the unit either didn't drain properly, overfilled somehow or has a leak which is filling the "overfill basin" ( it's designed to, that way it doesn't get to your floor...in theory ). Check your drain hose by removing it where it connect's to your home plumbing via under sink pipe or food diposer/garberator. You'll also need to remove the lower access panel, or kick plate as it is sometimes referred to, and absorb the water in the basin before it will run a cycle...or wait a few days for enough water to evaporate from the basin ( shut off the power/breaker before doing so ) then look for evidence of a leak. Check at the fill valve, (to the left) the drain pump, (slightly to the left-center) as well as the circulation pump & hoses, ( it is much more difficult to see...directly behind the big gray main sump assembly). That should get you moving forward. The Asko can be a challenge to work on if you've never worked on one. That is why I usually suggest calling a pro, preferably an authorized Asko servicer. It may save many unessasary part's being changed as I see too often with these. Hope that help's, good luck. macmarkus :)

Water pooling on bottom of dishwasher

Check the drain pump for debris that might be stopping the drain pump from working. Also could be faulty drain pump.

Door gasket or sealOver time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin.
If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1.
Remove the bottom drawer by pulling the lock pins on each lower side corner. Slide down and remove front cover. Release the drawer slide clips and remove drawer then dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios for this error code;
1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors, attached to the cabinet on either side of the drawer, that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models)
2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely.
3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining.

TURN OFF POWER TO MACHINE
Remove the front panel by removing two "pins". There is one on each side of the drawer, and they are at the bottom and circular with a recessed tab - like an inverted slotted screw.
You just pull the tabs straight out. After that you pull the front down and out.
Drawer is removed by depressing the tab on each side and sliding the support guide back.
Use a towel to remove excess water pooling, then a hair dryer to speed up the evaporation process of the remaining water.
