The only cause for this is iron pipe being used somewhere in the system. This is commonly found between the drop eared 90 in the wall and the tub spout. Most likely your installer has used an iron pipe nipple at this location. We recommend using a brass nipple to avoid rusty water. This happens every single morning. It clears up in under a minute but happens again the next morning. Does't rust take more time than that to develop?

We have verified that no iron or galvanized pipe has been used. I let the orangey substance settle out. It really doesn't look or smell like rust particles.

The only cause for orange water is rusting iron pipe. The fact that it happens overnight is a sign that water is sitting still in this iron pipe and staining orange while the pipe rusts. Then when you turn the system on the orange water rinses out of the line. It will run clear as long as the water is moving. Then when you let it sit overnight the rusting iron pipe will stain that water again.

Replacing pullout metal spray hose on tub faucet

In order to replace the hose on the 06438000 you will need access to the hose below deck. You will need to disconnect the hose from the connection below the tub deck and then you will be able to pull the hose through the fixation in the tub deck. Then you can pull the new hose back through the fixation in the deck and reconnect below. For further information feel free to call Hansgrohe Tech at 1-800-334-0455.

Why does the water not flow from shower valve when turned on?

Do you have water coming out of the tub spout and not the shower head? If so how does the water get directed to the shower head,is it by pulling up the diverter on the tub spout? If water is still coming out of the tub spout then the diverter is bad and the tub spout needs to be replaced.

When i'm filling the tub with water, the water back feeds up to the shower head and sprays out. I changed the spout and also moved the shower knob to make sure it wasn't stuck in the up position for the...

You will have water coming out of the shower head when you have really good water pressure. There might be more water volume coming out through the valve then what the tub spout can handle and in turn sends the water up to your shower head. When you fill your tub try turning the water only half way on not at full pressure, does this keep the water from coming out of the shower head? Most likely your valve has a 3/4" supply line while your shower head and tub have only a 1/2" supply line. Sounds like you have more volume to the valve than what the tub spout can handle. You might consider one of two things: 1) you can put a water regulator on the main supply line going into the house to lower your pressure, or 2) change out the supply line to the tub spout, increasing it from 1/2" to 3/4". Let me know whats going on.

I would look into the spout being the issue. The spout is a bypass when the shower is on and yours seems to be letting water get through. I would replace the spout..

When I run water through this tub spout (diverter in down position) I still have water leaking from the showerhead. I have seen water from a tub spout when the shower is on, but not the other way around....

After you turn water off in about 30 secs pull the diverter up and leave for a few minutes This should allow the water left in shower piipe to drain out the spigot

I just installed a series 13/14 single valve tub/shower faucet. When I try to turn on just the tub spout, the shower comes on as well. What could be causing this?

most likely problem is to much pressure in water lines if u have shut off valves on to feed lines turn them down a little will decrease pressure to the valve other problem the spout {tub} diverted is partially engaged, loose, debris or defective if u can reremove the spout and observe the valve for proper function

My admiral leaks as soon as the water turns on, it appears to be coming out of the housing unit for the hoses rather then the tub or the hoses.

There are a few places that a washer could be leaking:

1) the water valve itself, it may be cracked (most are plastic), or the hose connecting it to the spout may be loose.

2) the hose from the water valve to the spout (as above) could be loose from spout or water valve. It also may be cracked or have a cut in it from wear on other parts.

3) the spout may be damaged or loose from the back plate making it misaligned so the water spills over the side of the tub.

4) the washtub may be missing a spring that keeps it centered in the machine causing the fill spout to spray water over the side of the washtub.

5) There may be a leak in the tub, pump, hoses for the pump (not likely since when it leaks)

That's all that there is to leak when it does not leak all the time. (if it were all the time you could throw the supply hoses and valves in the mix.

Hope that helps
