SOURCE: moultrie D50 game trail camera won't take pictures in dark

Does the flash work? Could be flash circuit or day/night sensor. If you have another D40/D50 camera that flash works but has other problems, swap out the sensors. If not the sensor but the flash circuit then most likely one of the large charge capacitors which has to be soldered in.I use a digital multimeter with I/O capacitor test function..these caps should be about 250mfd.

When troubleshooting problems with your photographs, you need to be able to distinguish between problems created by the camera and problems created by the, ahem, photographer. Some things, like a finger over half of the shot or a totally out of focus picture of your own feet are not camera malfunctions. Fortunately, most of what appear to be "malfunctions" are things you can correct through settings. Blurry pictures usually result in pressing the shutter button down before the autofocus kicks in; half-tap the shutter to bring the camera into focus then press it all the way down to take a clear shot. Grainy photos are the result of a high ISO value and low light; use a tripod or, if necessary, the flash when taking pictures in low light. Different makes and models have different ways to warn you that the light is low: some display a shaking hand icon, others a red light. Look for this and adjust photo settings.

MOULTRIE A-5 DISPLAYS "FULL" WHEN EMPTY/NEW SD CARD INSERTED

I just fixed this problem on my new A-5. I had to take out the SD card, put it in my card reader and reformat the card on my computer. I just put it back in my A-5 trail camera and now it works and is counting down like it's supposed to.

Any electronic store should carry them. Take the camera with you to the store and have them match to the camera.

Won't take night pictures

Two possibles: either the IR flash is bad,or the day/night sensor is bad.Unless you have parts from another M80,best bet is to try Moultrie support and send it in. However, they may tell you to buy another camera.

E1532 comes up on my screen and won't take any

E1532 signifies # events that have occurred , not an error...you probably have something like P0198/E1534...go into setup until delete images NO;press select;up down arrows to get flashing YES;select..then scroll to delete events NO;press select up or down, select.
