I have an older tv and I use a digital converter box daily. Now I want to watch a dvd, but when I disconnect the digital converter and connect the 3 cables (yellow, red and blue(?))from the dvd player to the tv, no blue screen appears. When I turn on the dvd player the light turns green, display says stand by, then the light turns red. Does the light mean that the machines aren't connected correctly? I don't have enough cables to connect all 3 pieces of equipment.
DVD-3 RCA phono outputs(red & white=audio,yellow=video
I have a DVP-NS700,the same happens on mine.Turn it on,goes green to red(standby),then press eject,it will then power up properly.

Our Sony dvp-ns300 dvd player is being played on our Sony projection TV KF-42WE610. The colour on the TV is working good for our satelite connection, however from the dvd player, even after adjusting the TV colour, the picture still has a green hue throughout the dvd showing.
