Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

My sansa c250 went through the wash. It dried out and worked for a few weeks. Then i would have to plug it in to my pc for it to turn on. When i unplug it it works. But I have to take the battery out to turn off. The power/menu button does not work like every other button

I think you're just going to have to either have it repaired or move on to a newer and more capacious player.

Why would I do that. We've all had situations like this. Just think of how many cell phones have been replaced out of oopses like that.

hold the record button
plug in the usb jack
release the record button
this should put it in the right mode.
then you need to reinstall the correct firmware.
since sansa doesnt post this on their website, check out the anythingbutipod forums

Sansa c250 freezes while refreshing database

I got my c250 to turn off while frozen by holding the "menu" and "select" buttons down at the same time for a few seconds.

Refresh database

I had the "Refresh Database" problem with my C250, it just sat there after turning it on! However, the GOOD NEWS is, I corrected it! First I connected it to my PC, then FORMATTED the unit. This gave me an empty player that at least would turn on. Then I downloaded the Sansa "Updater" from the SanDisk website. After setting up the updater software, I connected the C250. It automatically checked for any new firmware, and loaded it into the player. After that I restarted the C250 and it again came up OK without any music loaded. The last thing I did was to load only 1.8 GB worth of music files. My take on the problem is that if you overload the memory, or interupt a file while loading, then the "datbase" function never gets done. I've had mine running for about a week now without problems! Hope it works for you too! <Good Luck> David

My c250 turns on, but not in the way I would like it.

Try a hard RESET by holding the POWER and the MENU for about 15 to 20 seconds. That may reset the player back to the factory settings.

HELP ME PLZ

That's a pretty weird problem. The only suggestion I can give you is to check to make sure the music you put on was 1) in mp3 or wav format and 2) if this is music you have purchased, to ensure you have the rights properly set to play the music
