You need to connect it to the TV's input jacks unless there is an auxiliary input on the satellite receiver. If there is, follow the colour codes on both the DVD player output and the input RCA jacks.

Connect a dvd player

What would be easier for you would be to buy an HDMI switch box if your DVD player and Satellite box supports HDMI output. This box allows you to run several devices into your TV through ONE HDMI port on your TV. I suggest searching THIS selection from amazon.

I need help connecting tv to DVD player VCR and satellite box

Connect as following
1. Set top box - RF cable from STB to antenna socket on TV.
2. DVD player output to Video1 on TV
3. VCR output to Video2 on TV.
May be you can route VCR through the DVD player or viceversa. That you can see and try on ground.

Can not record

To record you must insure that you have hooked up an external source such as a cable/satellite box or OTA ATSC tuner to the input connections on the DVD/VCR box. After you're correctly connected follow the recording instructions in the owners manual.

Can't program coby dvd 224 help

Shana, What are you really trying to do!!!! Do you understand what the jacks on the Coby DVD player are for?? Can you connect the Coby player directly to TV AUX inputs and play a DVD?
Is the satellite 'box' still connected to TV/Monitor using TV Tuner set to chann 3 or 4? Is the TV you
are trying to use have any or none of those YELLOW/RED/WHITE jacks on the back of it that you
have never plugged anything into them. Is the TV always set to Ch3, and is never changed to any
other Ch number??? Do you only change Ch up or down using the satellite "box" tuner? ALL these
questions and more must be answered by you before anyone can help you out. You must know your
own equiptment and its capabilities. The COBY Player will never be found by the satellite dish tuner.

It's a shot in the dark, but it may be that your satellite provider incorporates a copy-protection signal in the broadcast.

Depends how you have connected to the TV.

You will need to set your TV to the relevant socket you have connected the DVD/VCR into.

S-Video, Component , composite etc

These will be EXT 1 , EXT 2 or AV 1, AV 2 etc.
