My washing machine is doing so. If I change manually the timer then it will start throwing out water and water and more water. After that it will stop again. What is that for? For me it seems that it is just getting water and throwing it out. I though that it could be the pressure of the water, since I moved to a new apartment. In the previous one it was working perfectly. Anyone???

Can you advance the timer manually to the wash cycle? If so? Does the washer start agitating? If it does? your timer motor has failed. You may find the motor only at a used appliance store, other wise replace the timer. Try advancing it before you do anything.

Why wont my power washer start

First, make sure its plugged in and that the outlet has power to it, if still no luck open up the body of the power washer and check all of the internal connections to make sure nothing was compromised.

My washer's timer ticks and runs through the cycle, but nothing else happens....no agitation, no rinse, nothing. Prior to this, the agitation cycle would go so crazy that it would rock the entire machine ...

Washer filled up with water and then nothing.

It is probably due to the drain pump. You need to take the drain pump out
and make sure that nothing is jamming it,if it is clear and still does this
then drain pump will need to be replaced on the unit.

GE washer: door won't unlock

We had the same problem and there is a wiring harness right at the door and I guess over time closing the door or the vibration from the spin cycle worked it loose. It would click and click like it was trying to lock but then the cycle would not start and it would just humm like it was trying to start the water. Make sure before you start to unplug the washer. The harness plug is on the side of the drum right at the door. If you take the bottom panel off and take the bottom two screws out and pull the panel out as much as you can you can see it there on the side. Just plug it back in and you are good to go.

Water fills the tub then nothing happens.

it does not aggitate? Thats the cycle that allows the water to wash the clothes. It may be broken, I have had that happen a couple times. I would take the aggitator off and see if the teeth in the groves are worn out, It happen's when used alot. Commen problem and easy to replace.

My washer wont run in the hot water cycle

Sounds to me like your water valves in the back are going bad, just had it happen on mine the other day, I bought one online for like 15.00 that was new solinoid valves for both hot and cold water. took about an hour to install with no instructions (take the old one out, new one hooks up the same way) or call the washer repair people.
