Xerox Phaser 3250 turns off Computer when printing

This printer makes computer reboot when trying to print. Tryed it on 2 different computers and same problem.

From my expreiences with that product, you should reload the machine software.
If the machine is less than one year old call for service it is under warranty.
If not you can go to www.xerox.com and download the firmware,10.100.32.000.
It will resolve many software issues on that product.
You can download it to your computter then upload it to your machine.
Some of the versions of software on that product have some issues. Most are resolved with that version.
You will also need to download the 4150 printer setting utilities if you are going to do this yourself.
You may lose your LDAP settings, so be sure you print out a settings or configuration page before you do the upgrade.

I was having the same problem. Turns out the IP address in the printer was incorrect. Once I changed the IP address the printer works just fine through our network again. Find your IP address off your server and follow these steps:

1. Choose Info on display menu, press okay button
2. Choose Info pages, press okay
3. Configuration pages-printer info, press okay
4. IP address should read: Correct IP Address number should be displayed on screen.

If not follow these steps to change it:

1. Find printer setup on display menu, press okay
2. Go to connection setup-press okay
3. Network setup-press okay
4. TCP/IP setup-press okay
5. Auto should show as “Off”
6. TCP/IP should show as “On”
7. DHCP/Boot should show as “Off”

If any of these are not listed on display correctly press ok, reset to either On or Off and then enter correct IP address.

Press okay button and follow steps on display menu to exit back to main menu display screen.

Someone installed the "Printing Scout" on this computer. You may need to uninstall or check all the settings in the printer driver. I'm not really familiar with Macs but I know the 8560 inside out, upside down, and backwards.

Primero , apaga el sistema y desconecta la energia
Luego hay que desconectar la bateria interna que esta debajo del panel por un momento , conectas la energia sin conectar la bateria , si todo esta bien vuelves a conectar la bateria y ya no te dara mas problemas.

I have a Xerox Phaser 3250 printer. I went to print one page of a 1500 document and it got the message to print all of the pages. How do I cancel the printing? Help!!!


Quickly try to press cancel on the printer and then turn it off. Then Open the print queue and right click on the document and select "cancel" you may need to do this a number of times, and if you can't get it out of the queue, reboot the computer and delete it then if it is still in the queue.

Printing from wrong tray


I suffered from the same problem for a long time. We got Xerox Phaser 8550 and 8560 here. I choose on computer "tray 2" but the printer just print from tray 1 which is empty.

Today i figured it out! It's some configuration at the printer. So go to "Paper tray setp" -> "Tray 1 mode" and "Tray 2 mode" -> change to "static".

I figure it's like this. Before it was "dynamic", it probably means the printer decides it's better to use tray 1 even though you choose tray 2 - and this decision is stupid. Changing it to "static" fixes this.

Let me know whether this works for you too!

2 sided copying


You just select 2-sided printing in the print dialog box. I think it's on the finishing tab. I'm assuming you aren't trying to print on 2nd side of pre-printed stock. That would be a different issue.

Not printing


Hi ,
There may be several causes for this problem.
I will tell you one by one, and you try it.

CAUSE: 1
The printer is not
receiving power.
SOLUTION:1
Check the power cord connections.
Check the power switch and the
power source.

CAUSE:2
The printer is not
selected as the
default printer.
SOLUTION:2
Select Xerox Phaser 6110
Series as your default printer.

CAUSE:3
Check the printer for
the following:
• The printer cover is
not closed.
• Paper is jammed.
• No paper is loaded.
• A toner cartridge is
not installed.
SOLUTION:3
After locating the problem, clear it.
If a printer system error occurs,
contact your service representative.
• Close the printer cover.
• Clear the paper jam.
• Load paper.
• Install the toner cartridge.


CAUSE:4
The printer may be in
manual feed mode
and out of paper.
SOLUTION:4
Check the message on the Status
Monitor program window, add paper
to the tray and press the
button on the control panel.



CAUSE:5
The connection cable
between the
computer and the
printer is not
connected properly.
