Re: focusing web cam
I'm not sure what the rest of your sentence says about "but they see us...) Most Web Cams have a lens that can be turned right or left to focus the lens. Have them view you and adjust the lens both ways to see if that helps. If you can view yourself and its clear it may not help adjusting the lens. But its worth a try. Hope it helps. Bud

If this is related to and external web-cam, the issue can be fix by turning the focus adjuster, located on top of the lens (round ring that goes around the lens). Turn around until it gets clear image.
When you open the WEBcam on your computer do you see yourself as a fuzzy image?
If so you need to adjust the focus on the WEBcam, the focus adjustment is the ring around the lens.
You can also download the WEBcam driver from the Logitech WEB site, makesure you select the driver for you model WEBcam and the XP or Vista version that matches your Windows installed version.
Make sure the lens is clean first. And then you can focus the camera by turning the ring around the lens as you view the camera focusing on something. As you turn the ring it should come into focus and and remain clear.
If you mean you tried the sharpness setting in the driver it will not help if the image is out of focus.
On many webcams there is a focus ring around the lens, try turning that
to get a focus setting that gives a sharp image at the distance you
use. If the product pic shown with your question represents your cam,
it looks like it has such a focus ring.
