You must run scandisk utility in windows to fix problem. Go to C: drive >> properties >> tools >> choose error checking >> select automatically fix errors >> then start >>
If proplem persists you must format the C drive there may be less chance of bad sector recovery...
Or contact your manufacturer tech support if your hardisk in warramty period.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive boot up

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

Ok, look at the hard disks circuit board, look for rust or something suspicious.

Not responding hard disk

The problem is that the hard drive cannot be read properly.

The list of the things that may produce such a problem is bad power supply, bad data cable, bad mainboard, too many unproper shutdowns that damaged file consystency and bad hard drive (the HD electronic board or the inner plates), anyway, if you can get windows to load up run a check disk with the windows utility here are the steps

1) press START
2) press MY COMPUTER
3) right click on the drive and choose PROPERTIES
4) press the TOOLS tab
5) press CHECK NOW
6) tag (V) both options you get in the new menu--AUTOMATICALLY... and SCAN...
7) if it is your primary HD you will receive a notice that the function cannot be performed at this time, answer YES
8) turn off the computer and restart
9) the check will start automatically on computer restart

If the problem continues BACKUP any important data (if you can) and take it to a repair shop, make sure they BACKUP your data BEFORE they try to solve the problem.
