Question about Blaupunkt Las Vegas CDM147 CD Player

Open Question

Vegas CDM147 direct wiring.No harnesses pre-ensambled here...

Hi, I have this new device waiting to be installed in my truck. Here are no harnesses and connectors pre-ensambled just to "plug" them; The only solution I have is to use a soldering gun to wire al the stuff directly to the pins in the rear panel of the equipe, but I don't have the pins identificated.
So this is what I need to know: Wich pin goes to wich cable? (ground, speakers rear/front/left/right, power, etc...) can somebody make a kind of schematic for me?
Surfing in the web I just found some pictures of the harnesses wired; now I'm trying to "guess" wich colors gets to each pin. Hard work...but what scares me more is to make somthing wrong and burn down the device...
Any "solver" please??? Thanks anticipated to all
Dan from Argentina

To switch the system on, push the button left. When blue background light appears with the word "Safe" en ter your code. Example: code is 3527 push button nr1 3x, button2 5x, button3 2x and button4 7x. Confirm by pushing button 8 or 9. When the correct code is entered the system will go in operational mode. If the incorrect code is entered "Safe" will appear again. Good luck.

Crutchfield has the manual available for download here:

I saw a picture in the manual showing where the various connectors plug in. You should be able to tell from there what the orientation should be. It was page 29 of the PDF.

I wont the speakers hooked to the cd player no the amp

check were the speakers are installed for pre existing wiring they probly left it there.. if not then you will have to run speaker wire from your stereo wiring harness to your speakers. if the speakers were hooked up to the amp then the wire in the harness should be vacant and you can use it if all the wires are connected then that means that you just have to find were that wire leads and hook your speakers up to it.

Rockford fosgate installation?

The best way to install a stereo deck is go get yourself a Scoshe wiring harness. This will allow you to wire the harness directly to the stereo, then plug directly in to the OEM wiring clip that is plugged into the factory stereo. It helps if and when you sell the truck and want to put the factory stereo back in. Plus you dont have to hack up wires. Hope it helps. You can get the wiring harness from any car stereo installation or customization shop.

Installing newer radio in older truck

Hello zachary_reed,

What you need is an aftermarket wiring harness. These are made by Metra, Scosche, and others and are made to plug directly into the OEM radio harness. It appears that the one you want is the Scosche FB02B available from SonicElectronix. You simply connect the wires from your new receiver to the harness wires and then plug it into the factory radio plug. Another online retailer that sells aftermarket harnesses is Your local car audio shop or perhaps Best Buy may also have the wiring harness.

Be sure to match up the wires from your new radio harness to the aftermarket harness by FUNCTION, not by color. For example, most newer receivers will use Yellow as the 12V constant (hot) wire. The wiring color code for your F150 is shown here. Make sure that the pin on the aftermarket harness is connecting the yellow from your new receiver to the green/yellow of the OEM plug and so on.

Hope this helps.

Chevy Tahoe radio wiring problems

I had the same problem and here's what fixed it. By default, I did not connect the blue/white striped remote wire to the harness. Apparently there is an amp somewhere in the vehicle I did not know about. After looking at the factory wiring and the aftermarket harness, I noticed that the remote wire was used and I connected it with the remote wire on the harness and everything came up and worked perfect.

Wiring/Installation of Pioneer CD Player

You need to get an installation kit that also has the universal wiring harness to connect to the factory harness in the car. That way you only need to match the wire colors of the Pioneer harness to the wire colors of the universal harness and made good connections and insulate those connections. Then the Pioneer harness plugs into the Pioneer radio and the universal harness plugs into the factory harness in the car.

Let me know if this helps, or if you need more help.

I am having trouble trying to install a stereo to my 1994 lincoln town car because i dont now the color code to the radio harnes so i can install it

Best thing to do is purchase a Radio Wiring Harness. These can be purchased at a Store like Circuit City, Best Buy, WalMart (not sure of your location) or a 12 Volt Specialty shop.

This harness will connect to your new radio harness and plug directly into the vehicle harness without having to cut wires. The Radio Wiring Harness will come with color identification to match to your radio harness.
