The projector lamp does not turn on

Hi,
I have a Panasonic PT-LB50U LCD projector. When I turn it on the bulb comes on momentarily, the power light blinks green for about a minute and then turns to blinking red and the lamp indicator comes on. I bought a new bulb and the projector has the same problem. Where can I take the projector to get it fixed or can you tell me what to do on line?

I have done this on several of our PT-LB50U's with sucess every time.Remove lamp cover and lamp. Then remove top of case by removing 6 screws on bottom.Remove metal shroud that would cover lamp 2 screws and remove 2 screws that hold lamp plug and move it away. You will see a little blue lever for saftey switch move it back and forth from top and bottom put back together and should turn on.

A simpler approach is to remove the lamp cover off the back and poke a toothpick down the slot where the pointy bit on the underside of the cover protudes down into the machine. see if you can unstick the little blue switch this way.

How to do lamp reset on panasonic pt-lb50u projector.

To reset the lamp hours, turn on the projector. Then press Menu and use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Options. Press Enter then highlight Lamp Runtime. Press and hold Enter for 3+ seconds until the Lamp Runtime screen is displays. Press the Power button (any other button cancels the reset). When the Power button LED turns red, unplug the power cord to the projector. You can either use the remote or the controls on the projector. Reconnect the power cord after a few minutes.

The reset instructions are on page 62 of the user manual. The manual is available from Panasonic here: https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/PT-LB50U%20Operating%20Instructions.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I've just replaced the lamp on my Panasonic PT-LM2E projector and it will switch on but no light comes out. The previous lamp blew in the projector after around 2000 hrs. The indicators are as...

I'd recommend checking the fans of the projector, and make sure that they're spinning. Since you've mentioned that the lamp blew inside the unit, bits and pieces of the lamp might have lodged itself within the fans. It might also have to do w/ the after-market replacement bulb, which I normally wouldn't recommend.

After changing the bulb image will not come on and solid orange light appears

Other then POWER BUTTON light there are three lights more
1. lamp indicator
2. temperature indicator
3. computer input
witch one light is flashing RED or illuminated RED with POWER BUTTON orange light.
If LAMP INDICATOR light is illuminated RED than lamp runtime has reached 1800 hours. but projector still working.
If LAMP INDICATOR light flashing RED than lamp circuit failure, or abnormal function or lamp unit is damaged. In this case projector doing the same behave just like your projector.
if TEMPERATURE indicator illuminating RED the projector still projecting and if flashing RED than turned of itself
