Will this hook up through an HDMI cord? Otherwise, couldn't you match the back of the DirectTV to the TV itself?

I can not have my xbox 360 video show up on a pioneer plasma display AXD1460 tv

Do you want to just directly hook up the 360 to the TV? If so, check to make sure your TV supports component cables, which are color coded red, blue, and green.

If it's a recently purchased tv (maybe no later than say 4 years ago), it should support it.

Simply connect the cables to their respective inputs based on the matching colors.

Since it's going to be directly connected to the TV, change the Input using your remote to Component. (This button's usually located near the bottom or middle of your remote control.) Hope that helps, sort of :/ wish I had a clearer picture of the back of your TV so I can see what I'm dealing with lol.

Trying to hook up the dvd player to the home tv. Can't figure out which cables go where to get it to work. We have direct Tv.

Use yellow/white/red Composite cable to connect Player directly to an available A/V input on the back (or front or side) of the TV, just match the colors of the cable to the color of the plugs. You will now need to use the TVs remote to set the TV on the appropriate "Input". This button may also be labeled "Source" or "A/V". Make sure the player is on at this point. That's it!

Hope I helped!

My xbox360 works on my flat screen in color but on my other tv its only black and white... how to fix this?

Do you have it hooked directly to the tv or going through a vcr or other device. Try connecting it directly to the tv. It sounds like the problem is not with the xbox being that it is in color on some tv's, also try a different input on the tv that is black and white.
Thank you,
Lee

I cannot seem to get my vcr to play and I 've hooked up all the proper cables to the tv including what is required on the direct tv receiver

It may not be on the right channel. If you hooked in up by RCA cables (the red, yellow, & white colors) then you will have to change the TV to the correct input. Look next to where you plugged the cables in and it should say input? where the "?" is replaced with a number. Either use a button on the TV or your remote that says "TV/Video" or "input" to change to that input. If it is the old single black cord (which I doubt) then it will be either channel 3 or 4.

Good luck

Picture is in black and white, no color

You probably don't have something hooked up right or connected all the way. If you are using component video cables, make sure that all of the different plugs are plugged into the matching socket on your TV. Also, make sure you have your TV on the right channel (3 or 4) if that's how you have it setup.
Otherwise, you will want to look at the input settings on your TV and make sure you are receiving the correct input, and if you have your Wii plugged into a VCR instead of directly to your TV, try hooking it up directly to see if it works.
If that doesn't work, try using a different TV - especially if it's a TV you know works in color with a Wii. If it is still in black and white, you might need to take it back to the store and exchange it for a new one.

Hook it up to the tv

If your hooking it directly to the tv depending on how old the tv is use one of the inputs. Hook the two red and white to red and white and the yellow to the video in input. If it's an older tv you will need whats called an rhf adapter. Hook your color codes together and use a cable cord to go from the antenna out to the tv's uhf input. I hope this information was helpful........... : )

Dark colors Picture going out

It is hooked up to Direct TV. When I change the channel on the TV to another input it looks fine but without a picture. as you do not see tint in another channel means your color section is ok it is due to video or luminance section.
