M-Audio controller. How do I fix a loose sub port?

I just had the same issue. The temporary fix I used worked for 2 years. I just stuck a small paper clip or safety pin in the corner of the port, and then plug the cable in. If those are too big just use something you can use to make the plug fit tight.

It finally stopped worked a couple of weeks ago, so I just bought a new USB port at an electronic store for $1.50 and soldered it on. I had to buy flux which was $3.00.

$5 and an hour of time after squeezing 2 extra years with paper clips. Priceless.

Just make sure you have a cold beer to solder with. Sticking drinks in a freezer wrapped in a wetpaper towel for 15 minutes is like a reverse microwave for beer.

How to fix loose usb on Axiom 49 keyboard

Wow...just loose or intermittent as well? Most of these jacks and connectors are directly soldered to the main circuit boards which could mean broken and/or intermittent connection. Check your warranty status but if resolder check for a local electronics repair shop to help as the disassembly and intricate work may be beyond many DIY fans.

Gets whacky and freezes up every 2-3 minutes

Is this the correct sustain pedal for this unit? It sounds like it should be a momentary button type. I would look into that. Some have a push to work type of switch and some use momentary. If it is, I would open that pedal and clean the switch with contact cleaner, as it appears to be sticking.

How is the proper way to hold timbale stick and to play with in any type of music? Because my sticks keep breaking after a short period of time playing with them.

It probably isn't the way you are holding them but rather how hard you are hitting, especially rim shots on the snare drum. Stress at the half-length point is what is hard on them.

Sustain petal sticking, also stick without petal. Have taken action given in manuel. Still sticks.

Roland uses normally closed contacts... so if your cable or plug breaks contact, then will sustain. Check your cable for intermittent connection.

Not recording the memory stick is always blank what is the dimention for peavey 32 fx mixer so i can buy flight cases

You likely have to format the stick from the unit before using. Also there MAY be a size limit for the useable stick.

For a flight case, it is best to find one that SPECIFICALLY mentions use for your unit. Having the supports in the right area to protect the controls is most important.

Our Peavey 32fx is not recognizing the memory stick.  We are trying to record and have put the memory stick into the back of the board.  It lights up, but it says there is no memory stick....

I wasn;t able to get a manual to download, however, a lot of these things MAX out at a 2Gb stick. If you try using larger, I suspect that might be the problem.

Blogs seem to indicate that the sticks are LESS than reliable and one has to remove a lot of effects due to CPU throughput being insufficient.

Make sure your memory stick is less than 2Gb

I'm installing emg pickups into a guitar but i cannot get the solder to stick to the outside of the potentiometers

Use some fine sandpaper to clean a spot where you want to solder before you do the soldering.
Maybe you will have to use some soldering flux or paste or other like stearine, colophony (rosin) to make the solder stick, but usually if you clean it well with sandpaper and alcohol before soldering, the flux in the soldering wire should make the solder stick well enough, but that varies depending on the material used for the cover of the potentiometer.
