So... you've indicated that your microwave oven has an obvious serious problem.
You didn't have any questions?
The Answer would be pretty obvious anyway!

FURTHER:

The main component in a Microwave oven is the Magnetron. This generates the microwave energy which is released into a resonant tuned cavity (antenna) that heats the food. Testing the Magnetron would require specialised tools & knowledge. Beside the fact that it would be very dangerous. The Magnetron is often driven by electronics like a switch mode power supply & an inverter. It is possible that the switch mode or inverter has failed and burned out. There can be Electrolytic Capacitors that have failed (leaking or popped) causing the electronics to fail. If you have some expertise in this area then you could open up the unit and inspect for what has failed. Unplug power and never operate the unit while inside. Pull out suspect electronics module's, repair and seal unit up before turning on. The mere fact that you had heated internals is a warning of major problems.
Really, you are better off & safer taking the unit in to a Microwave Repair Technician.

Smoke and burning plastic smell in microwave oven

Burning plastic, not food? A component has overheated badly then, with a plastic case. The main suspect would be the high voltage capacitor in the magnetron supply. This is cheap and easily replaced ONLY IF you know what you are doing and can diagnose the fault. If you don't then DO NOT take the case off the unit as fatal voltages can be present inside even if the unit is unplugged.

I'd just buy another, as they are generally uneconomical to have repaired by a service tech.

Burning smell

This could also be a failing high voltage transformer or transformer.

While one should never leave a running microwave unattended, you should especially follow this rule for this microwave until the smell goes away or the unit develops another problem.

If it gets worse, please reply back.
