Question about Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera Lithium-Ion Rapid Battery Charger

1 Answer

My problem is with my Kodak z712 digital camera. I realize this site stated batteries but cannot get to a kodak website. So gonna ask anyway.....i took some pictures and went to the "review" button to check them out and all i get is a blue screen that says "no pictures or videos to display". I just took about 15 pictures and they are all gone. I have never had this problem before. Had the camera about 2 years. excellent camera until this happened. can you tell me what's goin on with it?

Z712 IS screen is white & blue with horizontal & vertical lines

It is not possible to buy a viewing screen for KODAK cameras.
An Out of Warranty repair for this model for this fault is about 88 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

My kodak easy share z712 IS won't power on, I have used 6 sets of batteries, to no avail. The batteries are new, thinking that was the problem, I bought this refurbished about a year ago, it worked for...

If the camera will not power on at all, then I have no where to start. Nothing can be done except repair. this camera will need repair, or sell it as parts or as is on a site such as Ebay.
Call Kodak, and tell them the problem,it just might be that they may take the camera back. It may be worth the time. Go to the website for kodak, find the support and then find the service or repair department. Call them.

My Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS problem is with the batteries. I'm using the Kodak Digital Batteries and they will only last about 30 minutes..even when I just use the viewfinder instead of the LCD. My son can...

I've had the exact same problem with mine. My wife was ready to buy a new one, but I didn't want to giveup the nice optical zoom on the Z712 IS. Checking out the web and a friend of ours with the same camera, it appears to be a common problem. My last time to try the camera, I took 19 pictures on brand new batteries and they died. The Kodak site doesn't really acknowledge a problem with the camera, but I found the latest firmware (1.06) and just walked around the house taking pictures with flash. At 25 pictures, I'm still going strong. Definitely worth a try to see if it fixes your problem: http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadFile.jhtml?locsvcsEntryPath=10807&product=EKN033025&operatingSystem=windows_xp&lang=en&type=firmware&downloadId=dln00179_file1&variant=false&pq-path=14091

Battery life to short

Most re-chargeable batteries are 1.2V each, totalling 2.4V. The Z712IS Camera is designed for 3V operation. Therefore using 2 re-chargeable bats is not enough, UNLESS they are 3 or 3.7V.
