Question about Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker
The recipe book that came with the bread maker was completely wrong (missing ingredients, amounts incorrect, etc.) They were so wrong, that if I hadn't realized and stopped the bread maker, it would have been damaged.
I called their customer service, and they arranged to send a replacement recipe book (they said it will take a few weeks), and that the correct recipe book was online. I checked and found it, and the paper version that came with the bread maker was definitely very wrong.
Just wanted to alert other consumers of this, and to be careful with the paper recipe book. The customer service guy I talked to said there were no other reports of this, but I figured I'd let people know.
I've found that the recipe books that come with most appliances, aren't very accurate. They don't accomodate different altitudes or even different countries. I hate trying to convert European recipes to American. European recipes list their dry ingredients by weight, not by volume. I had to find a recipe converting website to change a lot of those that sounded good.
