Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Denon AVR-810 going into PROTECTION mode

It sounds like there is a problem with the differential circuit. The bias I am not sure about, as every unit is different. You should get the service manual to be sure or call Denon and see if they can give you an idea. Good Luck

SOURCE: Denon DRA397 Panel lock on.

Hello,

Denon has for some reason removed this function from their user manuals. However The manual does show how to do a manual reset of the unit. This may correct the issue.

With the Amp OFF but plugged in, press and hold the speaker A and B buttons and while still holding them press the POWER button. Continue to hold the speaker buttons for another second or so. The display should all light up and flash at 1-second intervals. If not flashing, try again.

This should reset the unit back to factory state with the front panel lock disabled.

SOURCE: protection error in denon avr-3000

its the main amp in your unit. Depending on the construction the main amp can be an IC (Integrated Circuit) or discrete components. Anyway, the protective relay protects your speakers from being destroyed. When a main amp breaks down it normally outputs DC voltage. DC voltage is not good at all for a speaker.

You need to replace all the defective components in your unit before the unit will be up running again.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

SOURCE: subwoofer works in test mode on denon avr 790. but

I had the same problem. The system from the factory does not ship confgured for continuous subwoofer output. To fix this, do the following:

1. Enter the system menu.
2. Go to "Speaker Setup"
3. Select "Bass Setting"
4. Change the setting from "LFE" to "LFE+Main"

That should do it... You can also see this information in the "Bass Settings" section of the product manual on page 26.

I'd treat this symptom as "DISPLAY not lit and power indicator is flashing rapidly." under Troubleshooting on Page 60.

and I'd evaluate the speaker load you're presenting to make sure it's effectively higher than 6-0hms per speaker channel.

We have a Denon AVR 2700. We have no audio coming from CD output.

If you mean the CD INput and you're using a digital interface (details that would be helpful to know up front) you might need to 'assign' the physical connector to "CD" so the AVR knows which input you desire when you select CD.

If you still suspect the connector you're using is defective, try a different one on the AVR to prove the CD player itself and its cable are working.

Cant get it out of standby mode

Using the remote or even turning it on manually at the unit? Is it giving you a message in the display window?

Front panel is locked and don't know how to unlock it.

1) turn off the main power button (not the big LED stanby button)
2) press and hold "input mode" and "speakers" button simultaneously
3) press and hold the main power button for seconds, until display flashes.
4) release all those buttons. The AVR is already reset to factory mode.

Denon AVR-1100 receiver "PROTECT" mode

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?
