Question about Samsung PPM42S3 42 in. Plasma Television
I have a dell W4201C Plasma TV. The screen has gone dull. The picture is light; looks like it does not gave enough color. Everything else works. I opened the back and saw all the components are Samsung. Is there a way to find out what is wrong.
Yep, do u have a digital multimeter? if so, measure all the voltages from the power board located top middle. if u look at the top right of the panel, there is a sticker with va, ve, vset, vsc settings. ground the black lead, and use the red lead to read each of the settings on the pow bd. if there are more than 2 mismatches, its your power board and needs replaced.

the problem was the y-sus board, i had a local tv repair shop diagnos that much for me. although, he couldn't fix it i did some research and found a company in california, itritek.com, who could. you send him the y-sus board and the two buffer boards and he not only repairs them but he upgrades them. apparently the y-sus board gets too much heat and eventually goes out, sometimes the buffer boards are affected too. itritek.com replaces the components on the y-sus board with better parts which are more heat resistent. i believe this will help you with your problem. let me know...good luck.

SOURCE: TV started being really slow
This is a problem with the YSUS and buffer boards. These boards are linked on the TV and due to heating issues, they tend to get damaged together and cause your TV to lose picture. These guys sell all 3 boards are are really reliable. I've used them before. http://www.itritek.com/ysusbufferforsale.html
