Question about Linksys WRLS BRIDGE |WMB54G MUSIC R
I can connect perfectly via both of my home computers wirelessly to the WMB54G at 192.168.1.1.121 using my browser (IE 7) but no matter what I try, I cannot get the Linksys WMB software to detect/recognize the WMB. Only when I connect the WMB via one of the ports on my WRT54GS via cable and run the utility does the software detect the WMB. I've tried reloading software, upgrading to the latest firmware, rebooting, adding IPs to my AV firwall, diabling wireless security, etc.. Nothing seems to work after I installed XP SP2 and a newer version of Norton AV. I've been at this for over a month! Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance!
The problem is that might be the 121. I would try using the hightest IP address your router will allow. Mine was 192.168.1.190 chance of a conflict less likely. I would also try pinging the bridge's address from using the dos box and typing in ping 192.168.1.121 if the bridge doesn't respond it is no longer working. The ping can be done when connected to the ethernet port or wirelessly. If the ping fails most likely the bridged is fried in that case phone linksys tech support the will try to set it up if they are unsuccessufl they will give you a case number after the have determined it is not functioning. Make sure the tech get the case number from the supervisor. Then you go to the Linsys wmb54g page and click on the request for an RMA and follow the instructions. If you if is still under 3years you will get a replacement. That is why you always regester your product with linksys. If you haven't I suggest you do that then phone tech support and go through the grueling steps to get an RMA (return merchandise authorization). Pain but better that than a $90 doorstop.

You stated that you have the latest firmware installed, you must also load and use the latest software to be compatible with the new firmware. The Linksys site has both of these downloads. Be sure to remove all the old software before the new load. If you are still having problems read through the tutorial on this site. Hope this helps

It appears the configuraion IP address you are using is wrong it should be 192.168.1.100 or 192.168.1.1

Tips for a great answer:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP Address, then press [Enter].
NOTE: The default IP Address of a WMB54G is 192.168.1.210.
NOTE: If the IP address of the WMB54G has been changed, type the WMB54G's new IP address in the Address bar instead.
The WMB54G's IP address can be changed by:
Running the WMB54G's setup CD.
Changing it on the WMB54G's web-based setup page.
If you forgot the WMB54G's IP address you can:
NOTE: This procedure will reset the WMB54G to factory defaults. Any settings on the Music Bridge will be erased. The Music Bridge's IP address will be 192.168.1.210and the password will be "admin" after resetting.
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank, type "admin" in the Password field, then click OK.
NOTE: If the password of the WMB54G has been changed, type the Music Bridge's new password in the Password field instead.
