My Device button once pushed will shut off the TV.
After the device button is pushed the TV will shut off and then I have to unplug the TV in order to get the timer to turn off so that the television can be turned back on. Each time the TV is turned back on it will ask if the lamp has been changed. We have had the TV for about 2 weeks now, we need some help. Thanks

12 means no error. The device and menu buttons have to be pushed after unplugging and re-plugging for the error code operational check to work. If you have done that and if its still the same, then please tell me which LED is blinking so that I can help you. I remember your tv has 3 LEDs at the front.
Try this: 1) turn on the TV 2) from the remote control press MENU 2,4,7,0 then ENTER 3) tv will state on screen that it is INITIALIZING 4) when done press the front reset button. 5) should be good to go!Let me know if this works
Hi, i found that your brand is not RCA universal remote code list.. if your are using RCA controller follow the steps below 1. Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release CODE SEARCH. 2. Press and release the device button for the device’s code you are retrieving (TV,VCR or DBS•CABLE). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit. Note: For AUX, press DVD•AUX then the device button for the code you are retrieving. 3. Press and release CODE SEARCH. The INDICATOR LIGHT will turn off. 4. Starting with 0 on the keypad, press the number buttons in order (0-9) until the INDICATOR LIGHT blinks. 5. The number which causes the INDICATOR LIGHT to blink is the first digit of your code. 6. Repeat step 4 until you have retrieved all three numbers in code if you are not having RCA controller or the method above is not works then buy new GE universal remote solution using GE controller 1. Turn on the device you wish to program. 2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH/SETUP until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release. 3. Press and release the device button for the device you are programming (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit. For AUX, press AUX then the device button you are assigning to AUX. i hope this will work regards, cseian
Your problem may be solved by re-initializing the set. With the tv on use the remote and push MENU,2,1,7,0. A display will come up. Use the up down arrows on the remote to select INITIAL and press the enter key on the remote. That should do it.
004 was the only code I could find for Bell but i do not think it will work. Therefore, i recommend the following:
Programming a Device using Code Search:
Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
Release CODE SEARCH.
Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.
