Question about Mitsubishi WD-62725 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

My Device button once pushed will shut off the TV.

After the device button is pushed the TV will shut off and then I have to unplug the TV in order to get the timer to turn off so that the television can be turned back on. Each time the TV is turned back on it will ask if the lamp has been changed. We have had the TV for about 2 weeks now, we need some help. Thanks

My Device button shuts of the tv and it will not come back on. I have unplugged it for days at a time. The timer button continues to blink and resetting it does not help! Anyone with the same problem? How do you fix this?

12 means no error. The device and menu buttons have to be pushed after unplugging and re-plugging for the error code operational check to work. What is the code to use for universal remotes

Hi,
i found that your brand is not RCA universal remote code list..
if your are using RCA controller follow the steps below
1. Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release CODE
SEARCH.
2. Press and release the device button for the device’s code you are retrieving (TV,VCR or
DBS•CABLE). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit.
Note: For AUX, press DVD•AUX
then the device button for the
code you are retrieving.
3. Press and release CODE SEARCH. The INDICATOR LIGHT will turn off.
4. Starting with 0 on the keypad, press the number buttons in order (0-9) until the
INDICATOR LIGHT blinks.
5. The number which causes the INDICATOR LIGHT to blink is the first digit of your code.
6. Repeat step 4 until you have retrieved all three numbers in code
if you are not having RCA controller or the method above is not works then buy new GE universal remote
solution using GE controller
1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH/SETUP until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release.
3. Press and release the device button for the device you are programming (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit. For AUX, press AUX then the device button you are assigning to AUX.
i hope this will work

cseian

I push power button and my 1080 series 42 in. mitsubishi big screen shuts right back off.

Most of these sets have a self check feature:
UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device”(device sometimes is called input) and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

Let me know what you find and I will tell you what it means.
If this information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Inputs randomly stop registering, screen goes blank

Code 12 indicates no error. Push the Menu and Device buttons after the TV has shut off to get the proper code, not after you unplug and plug it back.

It seems your set is not Mitsubishi WS-55819 so it will help if you can give the exact model.

Mitsubishi WD-62827 shuts down after pushing the device button.

With the remote press menu 2470 enter then do a system reset after the set has reinitialized this should fix your problem, you will have to reprogram your channel settings afterwards though.

Trouble changing device

Your problem may be solved by re-initializing the set. With the tv on use the remote and push MENU,2,1,7,0. A display will come up. Use the up down arrows on the remote to select INITIAL and press the enter key on the remote. That should do it.

I have an RCA universal remote and I need a code for a Bell ExpressVu satellite in order to use the remote for both my TV and Satellite.

004 was the only code I could find for Bell but i do not think it will work. Therefore, i recommend the following:
Programming a Device using Code Search:

  1. Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
  2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
  3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
  4. Release CODE SEARCH.
  5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
  6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
  7. With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.
