Most recirculation pumps can operate in 2 different modes.
Timed mode where you schedule times of day on face of analog timer that rotates like a clock, or thermostat mode where the pump runs when water inside pipe drops below 90 degrees.
The selector switch lets you choose which mode.

My Westinghouse RS662V fridge is not cold at all. I have turned the dial to full cold but it has made no difference. The freezer seems to be working OK. Could it be the thermostat in the fridge?

Yes you need to adjust the thermostst located inside the fridge compartment to change the temp. setting of the fridge.

AC IS TURNING ON BY IT SELF AFTER I SWITICH IT OFF, HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM

Sounds like a problem with the furances circuit board. With the furance powered off, disconnect the two wires at the circuit boards thermostat terminal strip. These are probably red and white wires connected to the "Y" and "C" thermostat terminal strip on the circuit board. These two wires send 24 volts to the outside A.C. condenser unit when the thermstat is se tinto the cooling mode. With the thermostst in the "off: postion measure across the "Y" & "C" terminals at the furances thermostat terminal strip. If you have voltaged than either the board or thermostst has failed. The next step to determine which has failed is this. Disconnect all the thermostat wires at the furance. To check the heating circuit jumper across the "R" & "W" terminals, the furance should fire off for the heating circuit and run non stop beacause the thermostat is no longer controlling it and is isolated from the furance. Now remove the jumper and jumper across the "R" &"Y" terminals, the blower should run at your furance for the cooling mode and you should have 24 volts across the "Y" & "C" terminals for the outside A.C. condenser compresor contactor.Next check for blower operation by jumpering across the "R" & "G" terminals. If everything checks outs than the thermostst is the problem. Tou may also want to check the control wiring at the thermostts , furance & out side condenser unit. If the wiring has connnected somewhwre between these points or at the terminal connection this may also be bring on the A.C. when the thermostat is in the "off position.

Where is the thermostat located

Follow the top radiator hose to where it connects to the engine block. The thermostat is under the domed hose connection on top the motor.
replacing the thermostst involves.
  1. Partially drain the coolant, (until the level is below the thermostat).
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • The air cleaner and duct assembly
    • The crossover exhaust pipe
    • The radiator hose from the thermostat housing
    • The thermostat housing bolts
    • Any remaining sealer from the bolt threads
  3. Rplacing the thermostst is as follows
  4. Install or connect the following:
    • The thermostat
    • The thermostat housing
    • The gasket NOTE: Apply RTV sealer, GM P/N 1052366 or the equivalent, to the thermostat housing bolt threads.
    • The thermostat housing bolts
      1. Torque to: 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
    • The radiator hose to the thermostat housing
    • The crossover exhaust pipe
    • The air cleaner and duct assembly
    • The coolant

I just purchased a house with brand new furnace wired to a RTH2300 Honeywell thermostat. It only has two wires running to it. I can't seem to get it to work in "manual mode"-where I set it on...

?? Connect Wires 5.

Labels don't match?

If a wire does not match any terminal on the thermostat,

see next page.

Quick Installation Guide

6

Alternate Wiring

If a labeled wire does not match any terminal

designation, see diagram below.

Do not use C, C1 or X wire. Do not use B wire if you already

have O wire. Wrap bare end of wire with electrical tape.

This thermostat cannot be used if your old thermostat had

any two of the following wires: R, RC, RH, 4 and V.

Place a jumper (piece of wire) between Y and W if you have

a heat pump without auxiliary/back-up heat.

?? Connect Wires (cont'd)

7

Set jumper JP1, on the back of the thermostat, if you

have connected a wire to the G terminal.

Incorrect jumper setting: An incorrect setting is

noticeable in a gas or oil heating system. When heating

starts, you will initially feel cold air coming out of the vents

as the fan is running before the furnace has enough time

to heat up the air.

?? Set Heating Fan Control 6.

HG Leave the jumper in this factory-set

position if you have a gas or oil furnace.

HE Place the jumper to this position if you

have an electric furnace.

8

Set jumper JP2, on the back of the thermostat, if you

have a heat pump.

Incorrect jumper setting: The heat pump operation

will be reversed, i.e., it will cool in Heat mode and will

heat in Cool mode.

?? Set Heat Pump Reversing Valve 7.

O Leave the jumper in this factory-set

position if you have connected O wire to

the O/B terminal.

B Place the jumper to this position if you

have connected B wire to the O/B terminal.

1) Install 2 AAA

batteries on the

back of the

thermostat.

2) Align the two

brackets on the

top of the

thermostat with

the corresponding

slots on the top of

the wallplate.

3) Push the

thermostat

against the

wallplate.

4) Tighten the screw

at the bottom of

the thermostat.

5) Turn power back

on at the heating/

cooling system.

Should the settings be different from the top and the bottom thermoststs

No, It will not hurt anything except wear out the thermostat a little quicker. (The one thats higher)

The unit will be more efficient, especially at high use times if both t-stats are at the same temp.

My Amana LWA60AW washing machine won't agitate.

Some timer dials will not turn all the time they will sit for awhile then advance . If it don't move for a long time sounds like you have a bad timer motor.
Some motors can be replaced and some you have to replace the complete timer.
