Question about Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Projector needs adjustment

I've used the remote but it did not work. I've adjusted the resolution settings using the output devices remote as well but it did not work. The projector has been knocked off center during a move.

If the model number is correct the set may have in the tech menu a way to move centering etc with the original remote.

I can get the information for that if needed but what is the issue? What does the picture look like after the move?

I am tinkering with this issue again. I apologize for the delayed response. I have connected my desktop computer to this TV with a DVI cable. I previoulsy used VGA with the same issue. Also, I connected and older Xbox using RCA cables with the same issue. So I know it is the TV and not the output devices. The desktop, regardless of the resolution, cuts off the picutre by nearly an inch on every side. I tried using the factory remote to adjust the size but could not find the option. All the the zoom\resolution settings had the same result.

the set has three hidden tech menus accessed with a four digit code using the original Mitsubishi remote. The adjustment menu is what you are looking for---I am reluctant to provide the access information as in that menu are settings where real trouble can happen, if I have the numbers which are model specific you use them at your own risk.?

Yes,but first it is necessary to repair the problem = replace
both STK392-570 IC's.............Then use remote to adjust
convergence............."inside the tv" is called servicer menu = adjust after repair is complete. You can expect to replace IC's
every five years or so.......................T.

PS Try to match your problem thread model # to actual model #
ie. VS-5043 does not match WS-65909........T.

Do not try to adjust anything yet!! Adjustments do not get out of alighnment all of a suddenly. The convergence adjustments are there to do minor aging alighnments. I would first check for bad solder connections on the convergence IC's first.

SOURCE: WS-55809 with Universal Remote

you will have to get a new mitsu remote in order to make the adjustment. Most universal remotes are made to just do basic functions, unless you start getting into nice sony touchscreen remotes but then they cost 100 by themselves.
the remote to a mitsubishi wd55513, wd65513 etc will also work on this set, I have done it before.

SOURCE: Playstation 3 does not output

Is your girlfriend's television higher resolution? If so, the ps3 may be configured to output a signal that is too high for your mitsubishi. With the ps3 off, insert either the component or the rgb to the back. The turn on the main ps3 power switch so that the red led turns on. then hold down the 'power on' button. it will beep initially, then beep after about 3 seconds. This simply resets the output to the connected cable in a normal resolution.

If this fails go to settings>video output> and play around with the settings there. note you may have to do this on ur girlfriends tv to be able to see what you're doing...

Infocus lp425z projector pushes latop display to left quarter of output image

Usually this is a hardware acceleration setting problem on the 'advanced' properties setting in your 'screen resolution' properties on your computer. Re-set the hardware acceleration to the 2nd setting and this should fix your issue. We have this regularly when we project on a double projector system and the one projector keeps shifting everything left until we adjust the hardware acceleration settings on the computer. No more issue.

You can choose either.
If you select duplicate, it is useful when you have to give a speech or lecture and you are facing the audience because the projected image is behind you and you can also see the image on the laptop when you face the audience.

Hi well i assume you are using the HDMI output? or maybe you are using the ordinary Video out? In any event what you may need to do is hook up also the Red & White Stereo Audio... on the TV to the Output of the PC's sound card. This will then give you sound.
Also when changing the sound NOW when using the two you must control the sound by first setting a volume on the TV with the Remote, and set a level, then ALSO you can adjust this as well with the remote or Volume control of the receiver, ie: The PC's volume,

My Windows XP is connected to my Epson Powerlite S3, but the screen is blue with the words Source: Computer (Auto) No Signal on it. When I click "Help" on the projector, it takes me to a screen...

'No signal' and 'unsupported signal' messages mean 1 of 2 things, either the VGA output is off(laptop) or the display resolution is set too high(laptop and desktop). Assuming the VGA cable you are using is good, try this:

Desktop: hook the computer back up too your computer monitor & set the computer to the basic VGA resolution. For windows XP, right click a blank area on the desktop, click 'properties' on the dropdown menu, click settings. Write down the numbers in the 'screen resolution' and 'color quality' boxes!

Drag the 'screen resolution' all the way down to then 'less' side. Then change the 'color quality' to the lowest setting. Click apply, then answer yes (the display will look UGLY - don't worry!!) Now connect your computer back to your projector. If it works, then the resolution you use on your desktop monitor is not supported on your projector. Experiment with different resolutions to see which one looks best on your projector. You will need to change the settings each time you switch monitor to projector.

Laptop: by default the VGA connector on your laptop is off. To turn it on, look for a blue symbol on one of your function (F1, F2, F3...) keys. It looks like an old TV with a line on both sides 'O' (F4 on HP) Press & hold the blue button (on the lower left of the keyboard, usually to the left of control ) and tap the bleu button you just found. Let go & give you're a computer a few seconds to change over. If the laptop screen goes blank, you found the correct button! The display image should now be visible. Repeat this 1 to 2 times to change it back to laptop display.

If you did not see the display on the projector, 2 other issues are possible. First, verify that the VGA output on the laptop is working - connect the laptop to a regular computer monitor & change the display resolution to the lowest settings (see desktop above), then try it again on the projector. If you cannot get an image on a computer monitor, your laptop settings may need to be adjusted in the same dialogue box as the settings. Monitor #1 is the laptop display, Monitor #2 is the external output.
Happy viewing :)

Infocus projector 4805 connected to Toshiba laptop

1.
Connect the external display port on your laptop computer to the projection system, and then turn on the projector. For information about connecting external devices to your laptop, see the documentation for your laptop computer.
2.
Set the display resolution of your laptop computer to match the resolution of the projector system. First, on your laptop, open the Display Properties dialog box by using the Display icon in Control Panel, and click the Settings tab. Then, in Screen resolution area, move the slider to adjust the display resolution of your laptop. If you don't know which setting to choose, try 800 x 600 pixels; this is a common setting for many projector systems.

You shouldn't need a driver as long as the Mac video system resolution can be matched by the Dell projector. Considering you are using a Mac Pro I don't think this will be an issue. Have you tried it and it didn't work?
