Question about GE GSH22JFR Side by Side Refrigerator
How can I fix it? After a while, it looks like one of those days I will pull de door a keep the hadle in my hand. Could you help me?
I was actually trying to find a solution to this problem myself though I'm pretty sure I already know the solution. Try this: grip the handle that's loose firmly and jerk it up. The handle should come up and the straight out to reveal the spring clip mechanism holding the handle on. Tighten the screws on this and then put the handle back on by pushing it towards the fridge and jerking it down. You make want to protect the fridge above and below were the handle attaches so you don't scratch the fridge door when pulling the handle on or off.

weavie, this is one of those ugly little problems. Get hold of a small screwdriver, a pointy knife blade or similar and stick it into the gap, however small, between the cap and the handle. You may be able to find a small indent or similar near the bottom side of the cap. Gently pry up. It will yield. Be patient.

I have tried everything to clean these handles. This refrigerator was a piece of junk from the onset. The fan on the ice maker has had to be replaced twice and the motor once. The ice maker has always leaked and frozen. This was extremely disappointing and I will not be buying GE products again!

On the GE Profile, the handle is mounted to two small screws. To detach the plastic housing, you must press on the two connection points (the base and top of the handles) and slide the handle up or down (takes some effort). The handle will come off and you will have very easy access to these 10mm screws.

To tighten the screw the first step is to remove the handle. With this model just pull straight up on the handle. It can take a little force but after it finally unclips it moves up an inch or two then pulls straight out. Good luck!
