Question about HP DESIGNJET 500 InkJet Plotter Printer
When i try and print on glossy paper, the ink looks blotted on the paper and as the paper moves, the excess ink start to run down the paper. When I run troubleshoot, the first color boxes have same issue but when it does the next set of boxes in the lighter shade, they are perfect, no blotting or running and lines are perfect. I just want to know how to fix it so I can print on glossy paper again
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hello there jbaerpynes.
You must use HP branded glossy paper in this particular printer as recommended by the manufacturer. Because HP ink is much finer than most other inkjet printers, the ink sometimes does not set in properly on generic papers, especially glossy ones, and can smear right off.
Try new paper and get back to me. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to comment on my post. If I helped you, please give me a positive rating.
