its better if you replace the whole power supply board rather than replace the burnt surface mount parts because commonly if the surface mount parts burnt out there are some shorted parts that cause that burnt and possibly repeat the problem..
Hello, might need a Main Unit or Power Supply by the sounds of it. Try out a company named ShopJimmy.com for parts. I have used them with great success in the past. I included a link to their site from your model page. Hope that helps!
Look at the power supply, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague Please post back what you find. I have the same model for my bed room, my power supply blew up beyond repair, had to buy a used one, now the LCD controller board is going bad when it gets hot. Not a very good TV.
Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs. 1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc. 2. TV not turning ON properly. 3. TV turns OFF by itself. 4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work. 5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.
I've got the same problem. I think we got what we paid for. It's either a power supply (internal) problem or an internal electronic board problem. Either way, Visio charges around $300 for the repair. I'd just save the $300 and put it toward a TV not sold at walmart.
