HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx keeps overheating and shutting down

sure it does all PCs do that, full of lint, all do.
we clean it.
it has fan and vents
all fans all vents and heatsinks must breath or it overheats.
all do that not cleaned, drive your car around with the radiator blocked, boom.
all PCs run slow overheated, by DESIGN.
this slow down , reduces heat, and saves CPU/GPU burn up.
just like my chevy, truck, it cuts cylinders to save the engine.
same deal both.

same deal; same reasons.

My 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is starting to have a ''slight'' hesitation after I shut it off and re-start it again. WHen I accelerate at first it hesitates a bit. I let off the gas for a few seconds...

A slight hesitation after engine shut off due to engine running rich meaning not meeting golden air:gas ratio of 14.6:1 so fuel residue in chamber continue to burn for the last moment. The same rich fuel problem that was why you had to let gas off during acceleration. Need to Check out the O2 sensor Check out MAP sensor Good luck

Dryer won't start or it starts and runs for a minute or two only

When it does start does it seem to hesitate or have a louder hum than normal upon startup? Please write back with the model number and I can further assist you. The vibration from the dryer being on could be disconnecting the power behind the plug in the wall. turn off breaker to that dryer and make sure connections are good to the outlet...I have seen this happen before. If it seems slow to start when it does start and make a hesitating humming sound before it gets going your motor maybe going on overload and shutting off. Therefore you would need a new motor....please let me know...

2004 ford f350diesle hard starting depress throtle nothing there

Dear dsmalley427,
I think it sounds like a fuel injection problem. You get fuel for a while until the injector backs up and then all of a sudden NO FUEL. The engine quits and the pressure drops and flow returns enough for you to restart. If I were you I would get to a good mechanic and check the fuel injectors.
OR--try adding a fuel additive that would clean the injectors.--Signed jwr

Air compressor is sluggish and will not auto shut off

TO ME IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE BELT. ITS INSIDE AND SURE ITS COLD BUT PROBABLY NOT THAT COLD. SPRAY CARB OR BRAKE CLEANER IN IT AND MIX WITH CHEAP OIL, RUN FOR SHORT PERIOD AND DRAIN. NOW PUT YOUR GOOD STUFF IN. VOLTAGE DROP CAN BE UP TO 10 V. READ VOLTAGE WHEN OFF AND WATCH IT WHEN IT COMES ON. MORE INTERESTED IN THE GAUGE OF POWER CORD. 15 AMPS ISNT ALOT AND A SHORT 12 GAUGE CORD SHOULD BE FINE. AMPS WILL PROBABLY SPIKE UP TO 40-50 DURING START-UP. THE AIR PRESSURE PUSHS ON A DIAPHRAGM WHICH LIFTS A SHAFT THAT MOVES THE POINTS BACK AND FORTH. YOU CAN WATCH THE POINTS OPEN AND CLOSE WHILE WATCHING THE AIR GAUGE. BELT SHOULD HAVE 1/2" DEFLECTION.
